Indeed thou and mission - I was almost glad I rushed off to see to dropped kitten as by the time I'd made sure all was well DP had overseen the packing and marched her out to her car so I never got to boot her bum in retaliation!

She never really got why she was kicked out: "I grew up on a farm and cats are very robust".
I grew up on a farm too and we treated the animals nicely!

I've avoided thinking about this for over a year and now am all ragey again.

Holy fucking shit if someone came to stay at ours and treated our animals badly they'd be lying a heap in the front yard covered in their own blood and teeth!

Farm raised here too. Still treated the feral farm cat colony without any abuse or cruelty. What a terrible person your friend is that it's okay to hurt a kitten enough to cause it to limp off.

Friend and her teenaged son came to stay. Both fixated with my baby ds, would pick him up and take him to her room without telling me "to give me a break". Her DS broke things, demanded things, criticised my cooking and encouraged 4yo Dd to play football in our newly decorated hallway. Each time I suggested in the nicest possible way that he should stop doing whatever he was up to, she would say to him "and now you have learnt another thing about living in England, you are not allowed to do..." (They came from another European country where I used to live with a very similar set of customs to ours!)
