To resent her youthful looks (not really serious)

I've been friends with this woman for over 20 years since we were students together. We both turn 40 this year and she hasn't changed a bit. She looks like she is still in her mid twenties and not by accident as she has always been very careful about her skin sunscreen, supplements, sunglasses, special diet etc She gave up drinking booze at 18 in the mid 90s to protect her skin and wore spf way before I even knew it was a thing!

I used to laugh at her crazy ways but now the proof is in the pudding and I wish I had followed her example just a bit more often. Its a little wounding to my battered old ego to see men still eyeing her up while I slip into invisibility. Aibu to resent her just a little?

I don't think teetotallers are boring but I suspect someone who stopped drinking at 18 in order to future proof their complexion might be a person who's overly involved in their looks to the point of tedium.

She sounds boring as fuck Grin

I can't comprehend that at 18yo, someone has decided not to drink alcohol to keep wrinkles at bay for some future life.

And what pray tell does she gain from all the lotions and potions, as according to you, its the odd gaze off some random blokes.

Sounds shit.

It's subjective, I'm teetotal and Squoosh wouldn't call me boring. Admittedly she'd call me cuntychops, but not boring Grin
