This is Biscuit. He'll be ready in a few weeks. Our current girl Cookie purrs like a tractor at his photos and was super excited when I brought her toy kitten home smelling like him.

Metalmum, that's really interesting about the ghost stripes.

He is a little bit Dobby-esque alright!

Ghosty, your kitties are absolutely bonkers. I've seen the pics. Grin

Our cat probably wouldn't tolerate another cat, sadly.

TheCatOfAthenry · 01/05/2017 23:15

Lilac, I do believe you have a fabulous feline with a fabulous name!

THIS IS THE QUALITY CONTENT I COME TO AIBU FOR

He's lovely! I'm all kitten broody now.
I've got a lovely little lady, she's coming up for 15 and she's still playful.

Interesting you mentioned her being maternal, my cat had a litter that she sadly misscarried, but the mummified inside her and she was very ill, we had no idea she was expecting either! We obviously had to take her to the vet and she was spayed at the same time. She's got a very strong maternal instinct too, she used to steal my beanie babies and other small teddies and carry them about like kittens.
I'm sure that he'll be kept in check by her too!

Crazyspaniel, really interesting. Cookie came to us with big nipples which have since shrunk back. She's so gentle and puts a concerned paw on our faces when we're feeling ill!

Apparently a small male cat is least likely to upset her. Feliway ordered and all.

Ginliness, that kitten is wonderful!

Now you have two cats OP you'll need one of these! It holds 3L of water and filters it to keep it fresh. (I have been raving about this all day, all cats need one!)

I've successfully introduced three cats to entrenched moggies (1 after the other - we now have 4) and it's always worked out given enough time and space. The oldest one and the youngest one don't exactly love each other yet after 4 months, but there's a little progress every day, and they each have their own space to retreat to. Don't be discouraged if it takes time! The younger your current cat is the quicker she'll adapt.

TheCatOfAthenry · 01/05/2017 23:43

Thanks Wonko, she's not yet a year old!

Spaniel, how much is that machine? Cookie loves running water.

They are £25 on amazon OP, well worth it! We also have a 10L one for the dogs.

I introduced Black cat to Stripey cat as a new born kitten when Stripey cat was about 8mo and they are the sweetest together.

I'm loving all these photos! The kitten is bed, particularly.

Speaking of Dreamies, aren't they addictive? My cat only gets them once a week now. She absolutely goes bonkers when she gets them.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 02/05/2017 09:23

Black with ghost stripes? But that's Gobbolino!

Beautiful little chap though 😻.

This is my favourite thread today.
My other two gals are old ladies now but here they are as fifteen week old beauties

My cat is a Biscuits too, we didn't name him as he was a rescue and was named by his foster family.

Lovely boy, but when I call him in at night it amuses the neighbours.

TheCatOfAthenry · 02/05/2017 12:12

Lol at sixgeese. Cookie was named by the rescue and Biscuit has no name yet - just goes well with Cookie. I did consider calling the baby cat 'The Consultant' because of the hilarious sentences that might ensue (The Consultant is licking his bottom/in the litter tray, take your pick...) Particularly entertaining because I'm a less senior doctor. My nurse friends liked it too.

Spaniel, must get my hands on one of those - great idea.

Keep the cat pics coming.
