To "kindly" go to them with a nappy bag?

Just walking back to my house. Dh and dd are at a relatives and walking back in 20 minutes. Young woman dashing down the road with a terrier that then stopped and took a huge pooh right on the pavement. She then spots me and does the "where are my poo bags dance" when you can tell quite categorically she is going to leave it.

I stop and search my bag for nappy sacks. Don't have one on me but my house is right there. I head back to my house and she starts walking away. Grab some nappy sack and run after her saying "here you go and here are a few extra ones just in case". She had already got a fair distance from the mess. She thanked me but you could tell that she wasn't pleased and cleaned up after the dog.

Dh not pleased with me as he said that she could see where we live and that I don't know who they are. My argument is my almost 2 year old is about to walk back down that pavement and I don't want there to be crap on it. Aibu?

@WeeCheekyBird don't worry. It was done nicely rather than passively aggressively. Nothing quite like an eight months pregnant woman running down the road with nappy bags though 😂

Well done op Smile
I've always loved my dm's thought that any dog poo that isn't retrieved in a timely fashion should just appear in the middle of the owners living room. If only it could happen Grin

Good job you! I can't stand the dismissiveness of the 'oh dear' face when caught. You have a dog. That dog poops. Bring a bag. It is not rocket science.

I have been known to chase people down the street calling 'excuse me, you dropped something' when seeing they have littered. I will get a hard slap one day

Well done Op. I'm a dog owner who is evangelical about picking up poo. I always have lots of spare bags and force these on other dog owners several times a week. The unwritten rule where I live seems to be that people will usually pick up if they think someone might have seen but won't pick up if it happens on the public footpath hidden from view by the school fence - the same footpath that children use to get to school. It makes me very angry!
