To be lusting like an old Cougar after a young man half my age?

This has never happened before, I am a reasonable adult and level headed, but I've recently been crossing paths with a certain young man who is so handsome that I can't speak when he is around! WTF? Is it my hormones? I'm I having a mid life crisis? Does this happen to other people?

I too rather enjoy working with a lovely much younger man Blush ...I'm late thirties, faithfully married, young children....he's late twenties, lovely personality, beautiful to look at.... swoon! Obviously nothing would be pursued here!

I am also single. As is he. But I would never let him know how I feel.
I cant say I am enjoying this crush, I just have to ride it out. I have never before even looked at younger men. I always just liked men my own age.

Well, there are no men posting about lusting after young women, and if they posted in the same manner, as from the perspective of being taken by surprise, not liking it, and not wanting to pursue it, I think they might have had similar responses.

It is a fact of life. Sometimes you get crushes on people not your age, or in other ways inappropriate. It should not be taboo to talk about it.

I'm 43 and am enjoying a lovely flirtation with a 22 yr old I work with. He's so freaking pretty! It's delicious, I get hugs, kisses on the forehead, flirty text messages.
Honestly I'm having the time of my life.

My mate reckons it's your eggs having a last gasp before entering perimenopause. This happened to me and it was terrifying. Seriously.
Hope it all goes away soon.

Your hormones clearly don't know you're married Grin

From a biological standpoint it makes a lot of sense to fancy young, fit and healthy individuals. If you were to reproduce together, your offspring would be more likely to be strong and healthy.

Now try and tell biology that you're married and monogamous...
