To think I can make myself over in one month?

Well, not exactly, but basically I want to get to 31 May and feel and look a lot better. This year so far has been terrible in terms of workload and stress, some awful, worrying things in my caseload. May should be a MUCH easier month, so I want to do some challenges. Not just weight wise, everything. I want to get back into warm lemon water and my daily swim, for example. Just ordered some hopefully flattering clothes online.
Any challenges I can do for a month?
Anyone want to join me?

Can I join you?
Post Pregnancy issues with joints make gym exercise impossible and even walking difficult so I'm really up against it. Take a sweet tooth, caffeine addiction, sleep deprivation and single parenthood and I'm struggling to look after myself or lose any weight and I've got really fat

All help, ideas and advice much appreciated.

Think I'll try LCHF as I already eat loads of vegetables. Bloody love carbs though!

Be strong ladies, it's the weekend! I'm still swimming, 10,000 stepping, lemoning and eating healthier. Decluttering has fallen by the wayside, but I'm hoping to fix that this weekend. How's it going?

yousignup PT is doing a mix of walking with running for short periods and then core work and leg work. Repetitions of squats and steps with some arm and abdominals exercises. I'm using weights and resistance bands. She's been brilliant at finding things I can do at my desk (I WFH four days a week) and things I can do in 5-10 minute bursts. I think it helps that she isn't a young fit bloke but she's a mum who understands that FT working, running a house with a DH who works away makes it hard to work out for an hour at a time.

Not tracked this weekend as it's our anniversary. Annoyed to catch myself with my hand in the sweet bowl after DS's sleepover. Back on it tomorrow.

I am planning in when I am going to exercise which I think will help. I have found two slots for walks and the rest will be ten minute bursts during the day.

I would love to join! I started a health kick a few weeks ago, off to the gym each day. I've kept it up, but seriously flagging! I've got a throat and ear infection. I'm sure the ears because I've done a lot of aqua classes and I've got the grace of an elephant doing ballet. Splashing all over the place and half drowning myself with each class!
I'd also like to lose a bit (lot more weight!) I've put on 2lb this week. Still have 8 stone to go!
I need to get some new highlights, and start wearing foundation and mascara again. How did this happen to us? I loved my make up until a few years ago!,

I'm still tracking with MFP, and wearing Fitbit. I've got one of those fruit infusing water bottles and loving the fresh taste of chilled water with sliced lemon and lime.
BUT, I went to a French market yesterday. Baguette, cheese and olives for lunch. I know it was a blip, but I can't stop being annoyed at how I kept wolfing down more and more bred and cheese. Then he had a roast dinner in the evening. Not a good day.
So I'm back on it today. I've booked a pedi for weds and looked out some colourful jewellery to brighten up my outfits until I can fit into my summer clothes.

Blueskyonthehorizon · 09/05/2017 06:40

OMG summer clothes! Tried some of mine on and whoa how I've put on pounds since last summer Blush.
Spent the weekend eating McDonald's and birthday cake, so great start there!
But, I do 12000 steps a day just living, so it can't all be bad, right?

Weighed this morning - 3lbs down. PT booked for tomorrow and Thursday.

Am going back to planning my week of outfits on Sunday night. So much easier when you can just lift one out of the wardrobe and know that everything is already there for you.

How's it going? I had a bit of a lapse last night, no reason really but I'm disappointed in myself. Lemons, decluttering and swimming all going well, but still eating like an elephant at times. Ironing and choosing all family outfits the day before is going well

Anyone still at the May self improvements? I'm going to bed earlier, less phone screen at night as well. Actually managed to read 2 whole books at the weekend (OK they were quite short).

Good going OP.

I've had a terrible week. Tired and reaching for sugar and caffeine and leaving chores til late, then too hyped to sleep and only getting 4 hrs a night. It's killing me. Resolving to drink more water, go to bed early and start Pilates.

There is a great thread in chat atm which has inspired me. "I've let myself go, can I claw it back?" Is something like the title. Really positive.
