To put my baby's in birth arrival outfits?

When I take my children home from the hospital, I have always had a special outfit for them and will again have one for this baby. Been reading some old threads and people think this is tacky. I really don't know why!
Is it that bad of an idea? I like getting a few photos!

I'm not a gypsy no. I do like tutus and things though. And I have no idea about that pram so please don't link me to a troll. And, those bow ties weren't in our set when we bought them, I've never put a headband on my children.

The 'boy' Ines are lovely but the tutu ones are horrible for a newborn. How the fuck do you get them in a car seat?

Not wishing to be mean but what about babies comfort? A nice cotton baby grow is perfect. Never heard of this before and I'm frankly bewildered

Op - Wouldn't a new born be more comfortable in a sleep Suit? Some of those outfits look really uncomfortable for a baby lying down all the time.

I seem to be in a permanent state of bewilderment these days.

I like the 3 DS outfits they are cute but the other ones look really tacky and horrible.

You can dress your children however you like. Does this mean that you decide their names in advance to get personalised stuff ordered in? I find that weird. What if they don't look like a Bexley, or whatever?

I didn't get those ones, so they weren't personalised. My children's names were decided in advance though.

My three girls all came home in the same outfit. It was a little top and some trousers. And I put a vest underneath. I'm not sure I'd go for some crazy tutu tho.

Why not a simple plain cotton babygrow? White is nice with a little appliqué quilted jacket.

No way will a baby fit safely in a carseat with that much taffetta around their hips.

Tacky. Ours is going home in a white babygrow with grey bunnies on it from M&P.

My daughter came home in a megadeth onesie and my son came home in a slayer onesie
