To get annoyed with people not spelling my name correctly?

I have a fairly common name but one that is spelt two separate ways. Let's say it's Jayne instead of Jane.

People (mainly at work) INSIST on spelling it as Jane even when they receive emails from Jayne and signed Jayne. Even people I work really closely with who know full well how it's spelt. Like I'll go:

Dear xx

Please could I have Y document.

Kind regards,

Jayne

And get back:

Dear Jayne,

Please find attached etc etc

It's pissing me right off as that's not my bloody name!

My name has multiple spellings, and is frequently misspelt, including in emails where my signature is just above, including by people who've known me for years. I can't get worked up about it. Life must be exhausting if you're constantly annoyed by something that really doesn't affect you.

On the other hand when someone I don't know well does get my name right I am impressed by their attention to detail and think more highly of them.

Well...total lack of anonymity! Obvious what my name is...not Sarah, Sara, Zara, Xzara...not being sure of the pronunciation, yep, I am completely OK with. It's just common courtesy to get the name of whoever you are addressing correct/as they prefer, especially when written in front of you!

Yes... I really am X. Hale 😂

I get your frustration I get it all the time in work and with my family my name is Katie but in work they constantly spell it Katy I have never spelled it with a flamming y so pack it in with that shit. With my family though I have 2 different name's my dad's side of the family refuse to call me anything but Kathryn so I feel like am constantly in trouble and my mum's side of the family all call me Kate to my face and when they write cards the I magically reapers its like a bloody episode of seaseme street today's letter is the letter I it really does annoy me.

You should always check spelling of a name.
Mine is often wrong but I find in the end the person twigs and corrects it.

I have a 3 syllable first name.... Most people drop the last 2. On emails when I have signed it as my full name they cut it short even when I have addressed them by their full name. I absolutely hate it and have come up with a stock email to send explaining my full name. Seriously, it is so lazy!
