What do other neighbour haters do to really piss off their unreasonable ndn??

My upstairs neighbour talks shouts very loudly and very aggressively on his phone 'till gone midnight every sodding night! If it wasn't in Arabic I would be able to follow the conversation. It keeps my kids awake. Sometimes I bang on the wall, and once in a while I get totally fed up, put my speakers against the wall and blast out some bagpipe music at full volume. I only leave it on for a max of 5 minutes though. Sometimes he stops shouting after that, most often not. I only do it when I've had absolutely ENOUGH!!!

I've been through the whole keeping a diary and reporting to the council nonsense, and the council basically told me that if it's in their culture to speak loudly, then there's nothing they (the council) can do about it .

Well maybe you can expand on why they are horrible. Because right now all you have told people is they are horrible to you do petty stupid passive aggressive things to piss them off further. So maybe some context in terms of why you are behaving like an obnoxious 12 year old would help.

Our neighbours are twats... a real mrs bucket. she told me she had stopped putting bird food out as she dosent like them shitting on her drive. Since then has been a dick. So I now have a wide variety of brightly coloured bird feeders around the garden.
I love watching the birds .

Seriously, what would you like to see happen? I try so hard to stop my dog from barking, but he is so bloody highly strung and reactive. I'm not making excuses, as I imagine it the drives the neighbours mad, but then their music/slamming doors/thumping up and downstairs/swearing and screeching (not all the same neighbours) drives me mad too.

My dog barks for probably a total of five minutes a day (it seems like much more!), but other people's noise is constant.

We used to be friends but he always pushed it too far. I am relieved I don't speak to him any more as I never knew when he would just walk in unannounced. I have a field the other side so I am in paradise away from bloody water features, wind chimes,those clacking bloody windmill things, radios blaring and car alarms. I have struggled to hold on to this place by the skin of my teeth. I would rather live in a van than go back to living with neighbours but I am an intolerant git since hitting 50. How does this make your neighbour a dick? Maybe not your kind of person, but it is her right to not want to feed birds

Of course same applies to you, you can have as many feeders as you want on your property but what strikes me is how you turned her decision to be somehow, about you, and the passive aggressive overkill of bird feeders because you know she doesn't like them

Best NDN from hell revenge story I ever heard was from a very fiery(think Mrs Brown) Irish lady I used to work with . She had been driven mad by a group of young people , her newish ndns , who were having parties and loud music nearly every night and drinking and arguing usually by three in the morning most nights. She otoh had to get up at 7am to come to work every day. She had tried everything from having a word with them herself to local authority, police and so on to no avail.So one day she got every radio and speaker on every CD player in the house (she had a lot of DCs) and when they left the house for work /school she turned everything on full blast with the speakers turned to the adjoining walls of the neighbours who were now sleeping it off. Locked her house up and came to work (eight hour shift).

This seems fairly reasonable to me. Bird shit all over your drive is a pain in the arse. Is there more to the story and you forgot to post how she was being a dick and only posted something reasonable instead and how you're being a dick. I think you kind of missed the memo on how to do this,,,,.

KitKat if it's only 5 minutes, you're not like my old neighbour. It really was constant. I could tell my dh was home from work as they barked. I couldn't step outside either door of my house without barking. I couldn't even sit in total silence in my garden as they had scratched the fence so much the horizontal slats has slipped and they could peer through the gap at me. And bark.

So glad they moved. New neighbour also has dogs but they are trained and don't bark at all.

Do BBQ's annoy people?? I wouldn't even notice.

YABU. Why make things worse?

I confess that sometimes I open and close the front door on purpose just because every time one of us leaves the house my neighbour comes out of her house to see what we are doing and it amuses me.
I also pretend I haven't noticed her come out onto her garden when I am pegging the washing out purely because I don't want to get drawn into a conversation so instead give a surprised "oh, hello" as I rush inside.

I love the smell of BBQs so it wouldn't annoy me in the slightest. Although I'm a lovely neighbour .
