In fact, I'd put money on Ivanka and Jared having a better grasp of when 45 needs Bannon, than 45 does.

So they might step back from conflict to allow Bannon to get/keep 45 in power. And then swan back in with their own wish lists whenever each tricky bit's done.

I could see Ivanka having enough self-preservation mode to retreat a bit, as she's managed to keep a fairly good "front" up to the public, although with the increased exposure, I note that's slipping a lot now. Kushner, on the other hand, seems to have a blind spot in that regard.

That is a good post from Damian Owens, Ginger. Spicer would be a very funny character in a satire. Unfortunately he's the for real WH press secretary. I am increasingly reminded of that Mark Twain quote: "It's no wonder that truth is stranger than fiction. Fiction has to make sense." I know. He said it was different as Assad went after them at their homes, but so did Hitler. They were often dragged from their homes, rounded up. It's NO different. And yet all the countries are lagging back and letting it happen again.

He did at least seem to hesistate and grope for the right word before settling on "holocaust centres".

He had no such restraints when he dived in with "On his own people".

What I find even more disturbing is that it reveals his basic mindset - and the mindset of the administration, it seems. He hasn't proffered his resignation yet, I believe?
