Thank you to everyone posting here. I've only just caught up and have been reading since the start!
Very scary times and scary reading, but we need to keep this up. I have shared many of the links posted here with others. I'm in the UK and lots of people I know are not interested, as they think this is nothing to do with them. Hopefully by sharing this info people will start to open their eyes.
ThanksFlowers

I'm not a fan of Frankie Boyle but someone on my Facebook has reposted a lengthy rant he has written about Trump and Syria. It's actually pretty good: www.facebook.com/FrankieBoyleFans/posts/1476804212360940

My favourite excerpt:

"Personally, I think it would be great if Putin was controlling Trump. I'd love to think there was a rational, malevolent actor directing him rather than just a combination of his own blood sugar levels and the concept of vengeance. I honestly think we'd be in less trouble if he was being controlled by the dark wizard Thoth Amon, or if his body had been taken over by a sentient bacterial civilisation that was using him as a kind of Lifeship. I'm not saying it's impossible that Trump was moved by the plight of Syria's children, perhaps in the same way that Tony Soprano got really upset when that guy killed his horse, it's just that the balance of probabilities is that he doesn't care about them, even enough not to ban them from entering his country."

Bill O'Reilly is going on vacation, says MSNBC.

Maybe Spicey will end up on one soon.
The indefinite kind.

And while they're at it, I'm sure there are enough golF courses around the US to keep El President busy.

Lweji · 12/04/2017 06:44

Also, MSNBC questioning the incoherent Trump Administration reactions (I can't use the word policy) to internationally.
And they ask WHY did Assad feel that he could use chemical weapons.

Lweji · 12/04/2017 06:45

Sorry, reactions to international events.

I speculated a few threads ago that if one of the most destabilising events of 2016, Trump being elected, was shaped by Russian intereference, then it wasn't beyond the realms of imagination that Brexit was also manipulated in some way.

Gah, pasted the wrong thing!

From Wikipedia:

Sheldon Gary Adelson (pronounced /ˈædəlsən/; born August 4, 1933) is an American business magnate, investor, and philanthropist. He is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Las Vegas Sands Corporation, which owns the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, and is the parent company of Venetian Macao Limited, which operates The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino and the Sands Expo and Convention Center. He also owns the Israeli daily newspaper Israel Hayom, and the Las Vegas Review-Journal.[2] Adelson, a lifelong donor and philanthropist to a variety of causes, founded with his wife's initiative the Adelson Foundation.

As of August 2016, Adelson was listed by Forbes as having a fortune of US$32.2 billion.[3] He is a major contributor to Republican Party candidates.[4][5] He has been one of the largest donors, of any party, in both the 2012 and 2016 presidential campaigns. He was the largest donor to Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign with a total of $125 million.[6]

More from Ginger's New York Post link of Wed 12-Apr-17 02:21:03. This is Trump just yesterday.

Trump won’t definitively say he still backs Bannon
nypost.com/2017/04/11/trump-wont-definitively-say-he-still-backs-bannon/
"I like Steve, but you have to remember he was not involved in my campaign until very late,” Trump said. “I had already beaten all the senators and all the governors, and I didn’t know Steve. I’m my own strategist and it wasn’t like I was going to change strategies because I was facing crooked Hillary."

We can live in hope, Pain!

And of course 45 did everything himself! He's the Big Man and certainly doesn't need these footling advisor people! Wink

This is a narcissist's Achilles heel.

Looking further through the prism of narcissism: it's quite likely he doesn't see Ivanka as a separate person but as an extension of himself. As long as she remains the Golden Child and continuously provides a reflection of him just how he likes himself, that is. She has a lifetime of practice at this, so is set to remain.

So for Trump:
Ivanka = himself
Bannon = just some likeable but disposable bod

What this means is, Bannon is vulnerable any time he conflicts with Ivanka.

Kushner and Ivanka are getting quite a bit of negative press though. I wonder if it comes right down to the line, will he choose the presidency or his children?? I'm not sure I'd like to call that one.

And Stephen Miller has been sailing under the wire lately. He is definitely one that needs to go.

But do you think he understands that's the choice? Between his children and his presidency?

He's president because he's a winner, because everyone loves him, because he has superior genes, because he's a born dealmaker!

He might take political advice because some reptilian part of his brain accepts it's a good idea at the time. But admit to himself he needs advice from other people? And sacrifice some part of his ego to get it?

Can't see that ever happening.

All he has to do is look at Ivanka's lovely face and know that he's beautiful.
