PinkSquash · 07/04/2017 18:52

Hi. I speak to loads of people but have no friends. I was in hospital last week and had one visitor in that time. I felt so lonely. Sad

AtSea1979 · 07/04/2017 18:53

Had terrible anxiety when I was a teen for about four years. Stopped going out lost all contact with friends and just never got back into it. Now I live further away and work in a job where I work alone 95% of the time so its hard to meet anyone new.

Mulberry72 · 07/04/2017 18:58

Hello Smile I'm painfully shy and really struggle to make friends.

Babyblues14 · 07/04/2017 19:02

Its so much harder to make friends once you get older. Unless you work in a really socializing job. Or part of a close knit office group. I hate going to work just to spend all day by myself. I'm a house to house carer

uncoolnn · 07/04/2017 19:05

Hi!

I struggle to make friends - I get on ok at work but don't really have anyone I'd call a "friend" outside. My OH is in a band and playing a gig tomorrow so I've forced myself to go along with his friends. I'm dreading it Sad

11122aa · 07/04/2017 19:08

I thiink its hard enough even at Uni where I am. The media makes it seem everyone has loads of friends at work and such when I dont think that many people do.

user7298922193 · 07/04/2017 19:10

wizzywig · 07/04/2017 19:10

Yoohoo! Id like to join please. In real life i seem to know lots of people but none as friends. But then again i find it hard to put on the happy chatty mask on all the time

The best things happen when you put yourself out of your comfort zone.

ApocalypseNowt · 07/04/2017 19:14

I have one really good friend so i know i'm lucky but I'd like just a few more....the sort you can text any time about any old rubbish, you can meet up ad hoc for a coffee wine. My best friend is wonderful but I don't want her to feel like i'm a needy nelly!

If she ever moved i'd be screwed....

SquedgieBeckenheim · 07/04/2017 19:17

I have one friend, who lives 4 hours drive away. Have plenty of acquaintances, but no one I could call on for a chat if i was in trouble. I have no social life, and that's not down to having a newborn!

user7298922193 · 07/04/2017 19:17

Any of you happen to live near winnersh/reading Halo

1Potato2 · 07/04/2017 19:29

User - that's so weird. I grew up around Earley/ Winnersh Triangle!

I moved up North 9 years ago though.

uncoolnn · 07/04/2017 19:30

deirdre and pip I'm sure I'll be ok once I'm there, just dreading walking in and having to find a group of people I vaguely know (me and OH haven't been together that long) Sad
