the bastard who raped me was found guilty today

It wasn't me who gave evidence but a young girl he raped less than a month after me.
Sentencing is in May and they expect him to get in excess of six years.

Interestingly (or rather, horrendously) he was jailed for 6 years in 2011 for raping another girl. Clearly didn't spend 6 years in prison however...

I wonder if the judge will learn from that?

My hopes are not high.

Glad he got found guilty. Mine is still walking free and dangerous and it haunts me everyday, who knows how many more kids and women have been harmed by him since. Horrific the way victims are treated and how few are jailed. Hope he serves a very long sentence.

However I looking it up I was stunned to discover there is another one legged rapist, who was convicted last year.

That's awful , he was jailed in 2011 for 6 years and if he had been kept in then wouldn't have been out to rape you and that young girl.

Im so glad he has been put away.

I can understand why you would like to go to the sentencing, it may help with a bit of closure OP?

Tbh I'm slightly peeved that police didn't arrest him after my rape given the description and his previous. It was less than a month later that he raped her. They should have nailed him beforehand.

And yes that is awful that the police didn't arrest him after your rape. Wonder how many times that happened, given how soon later he did it again.

So sorry you, the young girl, and other victims have gone through this. The CPS website says the starting point is 8 years for the rape of a girl of at least 13 but under 16, so there's your minimum. Doesn't fit any of the stated aggravating factors, but if he's considered 'dangerous' (well, duh) could be up to life. Fingers crossed.

Did you not know then, that he already was in prison before?

Or did he still have his other leg when he committed that rape?

(I don't find anything about a one legged man raping women unbelievable; people have no problems believing that one legged men can be pirates so ...)

No. I didn't know. However we googled one legged rapist barking and a name popped up. A few weeks later police called me to say they had a man in custody matching his description. If google could give me his name, police records should have thrown up his name.

So he has committed at least 5 rapes including yours? Fucking hell I hope they throw away the key. He was convicted of the first three in 2011 but served less than five years in prison for THREE rapes? Jesus wept.
