To be sick of seeing Scarlett Moffatt (formerly of gogglebox.)

When she was part of a genial Geordie family on gogglebox, I thought she was cute, and quite funny.

Then she won 'I'm a celebrity.'

Now, every time I turn on the tv she is THERE.

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway
Celebrity Juice - (I know, terrible programme, but DH watches it!)
Virtually Famous
This Morning
Lorraine
Celebrity First Dates
Big Brother's Bit on the side.

In addition, she has a weightloss dvd (where she lost 2 stone and dropped 3 dress sizes with the help of a trainer!) Though she appears to regained it all.

And she is writing a book (yawn...)

And now rumour has it that she is in line to present a new channel 4 chat show. Confused

She was cute in gogglebox, pretty good to watch in I'm a celeb, but on Ant and Dec, she is quite amateurish - probably because she has zero experience presenting. Heaven knows what her chat show is going to be like! Shock

I feel she is going to end up burnt out within the next year. I mean it's good that she's making money, and she seems pleasant, but jeeez I am sick of seeing her face now. Confused

She's probably made more money in a year then most make in a lifetime.

Not so stupid really.*

Depends on whether you think what you offer in life is dependent on money for nothing. If she was a high ranking cancer specialist I would definitely have more respect for her.

Dontactlikeyouknowme · 26/03/2017 12:12

Not everything you do in life has to have a worthy cause.

I sure if you had the opportunity to make shed loads of money you wouldn't turn it down.

user1489179512 · 26/03/2017 12:12

YoureAllABunchOfBastards

She is very clever and genuine - I knew her a long time ago but am assured she has never changed. A bright girl using the ppportunity while she can. Good luck to her.

Do I take it you mean "bright" in the sense of trying to be funny?

user1489179512 · 26/03/2017 12:17

Erm...yes I would. I have more than enough money, anyway, and what I actually do for that money is much more important to me. It is important to make a difference in life. I do.
Does she?

NotYoda · 26/03/2017 12:17

I like her; I think she's warm, bright and funny.

If I were her mum, though, I'd be worrying a bit. I don't think she's all that robust (I don't think most people are TBH), to be putting herself into the limelight so much. I worry about all of those reality stars, actually. What makes them want to do it in the first place? Can they leave it behind when they decide, not when the tabloids decide?

ImFuckingSpartacus · 26/03/2017 12:20

She's trying to make some money and a career for herself, why shouldn't she?
Turn off your TV, if you're seeing that much of her you are obviously watching far too much!

PunjanaTea · 26/03/2017 12:24

OP this wouldn't be a problem if you didn't have such bad taste in TV programmes!

user1489179512 · 26/03/2017 12:24

I wouldn't call being a so called celebrity having a career, in the normal use of the word.

ImFuckingSpartacus · 26/03/2017 12:28

Is presenting not a career? I think it is, in the normal use of the word.

Dontactlikeyouknowme · 26/03/2017 12:31

So you think she should turn down big money offers to go and do something more worthy?

Yeah right, as if anyone would.

Bambambini · 26/03/2017 12:34

Stop watching all over hat crap then, I haven't seen her at all.

RainbowsAndUnicorn · 26/03/2017 12:36

Good on her, she's working hard and supporting herself and helping out her parents. What's not to like about that?

Botanicbaby · 26/03/2017 12:36

So you'd rather she stayed 'cute' as part of 'genial Georgie family' on gogglebox..riiight Hmm

Don't know what Scarlett's weight has to do with anything either. The 'issue' appears to be your inability to change channel or switch your TV off if you don't like what you're seeing. YABU.

Perhaps you are unable to conceive that anyone would but not everyone is like you.

Presenting is a career, in my view, only if the presenter is someone like Andrew Neil, for instance. Clearly he has a journalistic background. Oh - and he attended the University of Glasgow.

thebakerwithboobs · 26/03/2017 12:52

Fair play to her. She isn't nasty, hasn't made a career from shagging people and selling her story, she's sweet and funny. I only really watch Gogglebox and Ant and Dec with the kids but let her cash in while she can-this is the same young girl, remember, who wrote her parents a cheque to pay off their mortgage with the money she made pre-mortgage.

I'm also a bit Hmm about the weight loss/gain comment as she looks pretty decent weight wise to me?

This reads like I'm a massive fan, I'm not particularly, I just think there are plenty worse (dare I say it, I think the TV has too much Ant and Dec Shock)

deaddeadgood · 26/03/2017 12:54

She's my cousin's pal. She's lovely.
And I challenge you to go to Bishop and tell them they're Geordies!

aquashiv · 26/03/2017 12:56

Not seen her on anything. .thought she was witty though.

MrsJayy · 26/03/2017 16:31

Andrew neil is hardly saturday night tv presenting material is he don't be so dry user

MrsJayy · 26/03/2017 16:33

Imagine if all that was on tv was newsweek and sunday politics we would all expire with boredom

UnbornMortificado · 26/03/2017 17:34

No one who knows her from before gogglebox and I'm a celeb has a bad word to say about her.

I don't know her directly but I've always thought she seemed canny.

maddiemookins16mum · 26/03/2017 17:38

Personally, I think she's a great lass BUT she is being exploited by the media. She's having her 15 minutes of fame. I just hope she get's enough to buy a house and good luck to the girl.

Roussette · 26/03/2017 18:09

I'm indifferent but I don't find her the slightest bit funny. I didn't on gogglebox either. She came across as a bit thick I thought. That may sound nasty, but it was before she became famous and she used to ask her parents the most ridiculous questions and my reaction at that time was that.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 26/03/2017 18:23

I mean bright as in very good GCSE results and a degree. She might say some daft things but she certainly isn't stupid

user1489179512 · 26/03/2017 21:17

You would learn something before you expired though.
