To think obesity rates will rocket with brexit

Currently 2/3rd of adults are overweight or obese. But in my life the immigrants I meet are often a healthy weight. Now many are moving back and they won't be replaced could we see rates go up massively? My friend that works up north in a gym thinks 90% are overweight in the local area.

Op the slimmest country in Europe (not EU) is Switzerland.

When I moved here I lived in fear that my lonely size 16 carcass would tilt the statistics so much that they'd wait outside my house with fiery torches and pitchforks to hang a cow bell round my neck, then drag me to the village fountain to drown my corpulent arse.

The way the logic goes, yes. Average obesity rates will go up if the majority of people who leave U.K. are not obese.
That's just simple maths.

If there were a lot of overweight people who happened to leave the uk then no, average obesity rates wouldn't rise.

Neither of these equations would mean that the English population had just got fatter because of brexit, just because the results were skewed with who was included within the results in the first place

Does it matter? The absolute number of obese Brits will stay the same, so if you worry about the health of individuals, the average is kinda meaningless.

Unless you mean to say that without immigrants opening restaurant where healthy food is served, Brits will be back on traditional British foods, and become much more overweight as a result.

Reminds me of a cartoon I saw recently, where two German men, dressed as neonazis, shaven head and all, were happily cleaning a public toilet. Under the cartoon it said that the demonstration against foreigners stealing their jobs had been a full success for the two of them.
