Word salad, blame Dems, word salad, Pelosi and Schemer are losers, word salad.

merrymouse · 24/03/2017 20:49

Morally, with control of both houses, if the GOP and Trump honestly believe the American healthcare system is about to collapse, how does it make sense to walk away and blame the democrats?

cozietoesie · 24/03/2017 20:50

Well he can't take responsibility himself, merry. Grin

merrymouse · 24/03/2017 20:50

I suppose it makes sense if you don't believe the government has any responsibility for healthcare.

cozietoesie · 24/03/2017 20:53

He's not prepared to take blame for anything whatsoever. Not really. So a failure has to be laid at someone else's door.

cozietoesie · 24/03/2017 20:56

Which is why I think he should really be asked about starting the vodka business. (Or I would if he didn't have the codes.)

merrymouse · 24/03/2017 20:59

Just watching Trump statement.

He is completely blaming democrats. It's as though he is in an alternative universe where the Democrats are still in control.

Apart from that complete world salad. He clearly knows nothing about the bill and couldn't make a deal with Republicans, never mind Democrats.

cozietoesie · 24/03/2017 21:01

He's actually frightened of Obama, I believe. (And anyone who he suspects doesn't like him.) He must have some interesting dreams.

Lweji · 24/03/2017 21:02

It's as though he is in an alternative universe where the Democrats are still in control.

As usual: you've won the election, remember? You have control of both Houses of Congress.

And yet, you lost the task...

Hey Republicans, don't worry, that burn is covered under the Affordable Care Act

Roussette · 24/03/2017 21:03

He just knows Obama was popular and can't stand not being the same. Plus more.

He's just a big toddler

illegitimateMortificadospawn · 24/03/2017 21:09

Just caught a bit of Trump's statement on the news - he's cuckoo. Even he doesn't sound like he's buying the spin he's trying to put on this flop.

I thought Nancy Pelosi was great when she was giving her statement.

cozietoesie · 24/03/2017 21:19

Interesting piece.

The Consequences ?

merrymouse · 24/03/2017 21:27

I'm still not quite getting my head around the whole blaming the Democrats thing.

Obviously American government works differently, but this would be like Theresa May blaming the Labour Party if she couldn't persuade Tories to back her Brexit plan wouldn't it?

He doesn't seem to be mentioning Republicans at all.

Now that #KillTheBill has been achieved and #Obamacare has been saved we can get on w/ the real business of this country — impeaching Trump.

How long before Trump starts boasting about saving 24 million Americans' health insurance?

Couple of days, max.

SenecaFalls · 24/03/2017 22:02

Obviously American government works differently, but this would be like Theresa May blaming the Labour Party if she couldn't persuade Tories to back her Brexit plan wouldn't it?

Pretty much.

Yes, indeed, Don, those pesky Dems who did not help you dismantle a program that is the greatest achievement in the advancement of what has been a core a core value of the Democratic party for more than 40 years.

cozietoesie · 24/03/2017 22:04

You have to remember, merry, that this is a man with an.......interesting mindset. Don't expect rationality from him.

Lweji · 24/03/2017 22:09

And he believes that Democrats will eventually want to work with him on some kind of legislative fix to Obamacare, although he did not say when that would be.

Why on earth would the Democrats ever approach Trump to fix Obamacare for him?
He doesn't need them in the House (supposedly).
They don't need to fix anything. It's GOP's and Trump's job now.

And if they come up with a plan, it will still be the Democrats saving the day.
What a shot on the foot for Republicans if that happened.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 24/03/2017 22:12

That Washington post article shows just how trump's planning on playing this
