Possibly being a tiny bit U but...

DS (3) made biscuits at nursery today . He had two to bring home. As I was strapping him and baby DS in the car DD took it upon herself to eat the bloody biscuits!

I hadn't even seen them!
I wanted OH to see them too as it's the first time DS has done this kind of thing.

DS is sad that mummy and daddy didn't get to see the biscuits.

I'm quite annoyed ! Greedy git!

Ridiculous Dagenham, for everything that annoys us every day there is probably something worse happening in Syria! OP isn't even that annoyed, just miffed.

gamerchick · 24/03/2017 18:07

I reserve the right to moan about what I like.... Despite the goings on in the world.

NewPuppyMum · 24/03/2017 18:07

Plums ConfusedHmm.

anna1313 · 24/03/2017 18:11

Well, none of us are perfect and it may be your DD isnt either.... i would suggest a suitable punishment, + you or OH make new biscuits with ds during time that would normally be spent with dd. Ie she looses out on parental time and attention. And make sure you spell that out to her.

But at the end of the day its just a biscuit and that does not make her some kind of demon child!

RubbishMantra · 24/03/2017 18:14

I'd have been pleased not to have eaten biscuits made by a 3 yr old. Imagine the amount of snot and God knows whatever unpleasant stuff went into them. Maybe point that out to DD?

Shame that he didn't get the chance to show them off though.

cherish123 · 24/03/2017 18:17

😲old enough to know better. Could now make some at home with DS. Frankly, I am surprised a child as old as that would want to eat biscuits made in a nursery. I my experience food my by kids usually contains fluff, hair, dirt etc!

CatsCruncher · 24/03/2017 18:25

She should have known better but it's good that she's apologised and I'm sure your DS will have a great time making a mess biscuits with her at the weekend Grin

PovertyPain · 24/03/2017 18:31

How very dare you post about something so unimportant, OP! 😒 Did you not know that Mumsnet has strict rules regarding topics? You're only permitted to post about war torn countries, animal cruelty, serious illnesses, etc. Then you should go out and do something practical to help all the people and animals that have been affected, just like all the critical posters. All the posters, criticising the op, have helped with these serious issues, haven't you? 🤔 You're not sitting in your city homes on your laptops, iPads, etc, when you could be out helping are you? 🤔😒

SuperFlyHigh · 24/03/2017 18:38

Big overreaction, ok, so she did something silly but she's promised to bake biscuits with her little brother and is sorry.

Leave it there! Why beat her over the head about it?!

ArriettyClock1 · 24/03/2017 18:39

She was thoughtless and a bit mean, but she has said sorry and plans to make amends.

All is well.

Dagenham
Dagenham
Dagenham...

Get a grip and stop being such a sanctimonious pra**
Makes you sound stupid which is. Learly not what you were aiming for.

kateandme · 24/03/2017 19:11

stop overthinking.tell her off(kind of) and explain talk equal to her explaingn how your annoyed because this sis something parents love to see, gives them a moment to share a proud time with th eperson who makes the biscuits.shel understand more if she sees a reason and will recognise a emotion in you for wanting to share good moment instead of being confused how your so mad over a biscuit.

RubbishMantra · 24/03/2017 20:13

I once had a date with a bloke from Dagenham. Except he told me he didn't live in Dagenham. According to him, he lived in a place pronounced "Darge-nem". And my 17 yr old self believed him - not that it would've made a difference anyway.

He was called

user1471545174 · 24/03/2017 20:15

Nasty behaviour on the part of your DD.

FelixtheMouse · 24/03/2017 21:06

I'd say you've had a lucky escape. I broke a tooth on one of DS's school baked biscuits.

Deidre21 · 24/03/2017 21:29

She shouldn't have. She should've asked you before eating them as now you really should tell her to help him bake some more.

KirstyLaura · 24/03/2017 21:41

Oh for heavens sake people, she did something stupid, is probably embarrassed by it and is going to make up for it. Kids do stupid things. even when they should know better. I think you handled it well OP.
