I know I'm tired and have that post-holiday lag, but I've read Devin Nunes statement three times and I can't figure out exactly what the hell he's saying.

Someone collected some intel on some people and it might have been that Trump was one of those people, but it would have been incidental and it wasn't about Russia. But then he said maybe it happened but maybe it didn't?

I'm confused.

It sounds like he was deliberately misleading in order to muck up the investigation and distract/mislead the public. He was a member of Trump's campaign team and is likely complicit as well.

Because of this, there will be people EVERYWHERE looking through his history, and if he so much as farted in an elevator at some point, the public will now find out about it. Not too clever.

I think Nunes has had to fall on his sword. Lots of info about him on Twitter today and calls for him to recuse himself, reckon he just did something to be an excuse for that to happen which isn't Russia related

So sounds like he was trying to distract and at the same time perhaps get himself off the 'hot seat' with Trump? No wonder I was confused!

They really need to appoint an independent special prosecutor to sort this whole mess out. Although since the US AG (Tillerson) usually appoints them, what the fuck would the point be? He'd probably appoint Trump's personal lawyer!

I've never seen a cabinet nor an administration as rife with cronyism as this one.

My thoughts are with you all in Britain today. I did think too - how is Trump going to use this? Because you just know he would want to, as awful as it sounds.
