To think 18 yo should expect me to pamper them when they're ill?

Don't most people want a little pampering when they're feeling ill? I say most because I don't, I prefer to be left on my own, if I want something and can't do it myself, I'll shout.

So nobody looks after you when you're ill? Meanie

I've a chronic illness which has floored me at times and my mum very occasionally allowing me to slump and recover at hers, no judgement has been so utterly life saving.

It's unconditional love. I just wish she'd let me look after her in the same way!

Seriously?
Glad I'm not your 18yo then.
My dh is 58 and ill (well dying) and I'm pampering him as much as I can.
I pamper my ill dc's.
When I'm ill I just want someone to look after me.

As long as they would do the same for you when you're ill then I think it's fine. DH and I would reteach other hot water bottles, drinks, medicine, chicken soup etc when we're ill so why not an adult child?
