To think that people living on welfare shouldn't be running off every five minutes for a new tattoo or piercing?

I'm probably going to get shot down for this, but I just had a little disagreement with a woman I know. She posted a photo on Facebook of a rather large tattoo on her forearm that she'd just had done. Last month she had skin divers put in her chest and hand. The month before she had another shit tattoo.
This individual is single and has two children. She hasn't worked a day in the last decade, but is living off the state. Am I being a bitch by thinking she should spend the money she receives on feeding the children and keeping a roof over their heads? I noted that she feeds her boys Pot Noodle for dinner but makes sure she's got her fags too. It just annoys me.

So why are you ranting on here?

Catlady1976 · 09/03/2017 18:30

crunchy and op must have similar friends on facebook!

Annesmyth123 · 09/03/2017 18:31

Just exactly how little was the little disagreement?

Because you don't strike me as the little disagreement type.

Upyourdaisy · 09/03/2017 18:31

Sure you did 😀
Complete with the bullet comment

allfurcoatandnoknickers1:

What on earth did she say when you started commenting on her private business? I would have told you to go and fuck your self, hard, with the largest blunt tool available, most likely your own head.

KatieScarlett · 09/03/2017 18:33

It was imaginary, so I'm sure OP was victorious and the tattooed fatty has bowed down and vowed to change her feckless ways.

BillSykesDog · 09/03/2017 18:33

Lazy fat bitches who would rather buy tattoos than feed their kids deserve a bullet in the head.

Careful now. They might think that's some new fangled body modification they can spend their cash on.

IveAlreadyPaid · 09/03/2017 18:34

My husband was made redundant 6 months ago. We have 4 kids. We receive £1300 a month in benefits and £240 child benefit. £1100 of this goes out straight away on mortgage and related insurance. That leaves us with less than £500 a month for all other bills and food.

Living on benefits certainly isn't fun...

D1az · 09/03/2017 18:34

Isn't benefits bashing fun. Hmm I love how posts of a tattoo on Facebook now tells us all we need to know about a person.

DianaMemorialJam · 09/03/2017 18:36

your username is certainly correct though

No class.

DianaMemorialJam · 09/03/2017 18:36

(That was to the op btw)

Classy

Astoria7974 · 09/03/2017 18:37

I grew up on a council estate too. Neighbours were alcoholics wasting money on booze, fags and tattoos while their kids seemed to have a revolving door to foster care. Lady opposite used to run out of money on Thursdays because she was a tattoo addict, and her kids would often raid bins for food.

I do think that rather than give non-disability benefits all in cash, the cash part should be reduced & the necessities provided. Instead of giving the most vulnerable segments of society cash for housing benefit, their rents and heating/water bills should be paid for. Instead of giving child benefit the kids' basics such as food/clothing etc should be provided. After all the basics are paid for then there should be a nominal amount of cash. We shouldn't be making living on benefits attractive. Currently people are gladly going behind on rent to feed expensive lifestyles - that shouldn't be allowed.

Toobloodytired · 09/03/2017 18:37

Op, I can give you directions to the job centre for you to "sign up" for free money!

It's so easy! Oh & the lifestyle, do not get me started! It's great!

We all go to country clubs
Wear fancy hats
Drink champagne
Are all so very fucking fat
Live in huge houses
Have 15 kids all looked after by full time nannys
& have much much more money than sense!

Come join our club! You'll
Love it!

Oh & you have to get a tattoo to become a part of our elite club.

PortiaCastis · 09/03/2017 18:37

Whoever fires the weapon that the bullet is in will certainly be living off other folks taxes as they'll be doing life for murder.

SailAwayWithMeHoney · 09/03/2017 18:39

We shouldn't be making living on benefits attractive.

It's not.

Catlady1976 · 09/03/2017 18:40

I can't be arsed to work and I am fat but I am not on benefits and don't have tattoos. Hope that is OK

ShoutOutToMyEx · 09/03/2017 18:40

Wasting money is so subjective though isn't it? I don't mind my taxes going on tattoos, but I'd be fucking devastated if they were spent on a pair of Crocs.

DianaMemorialJam · 09/03/2017 18:40

Um... no is the answer to that Astoria. Hmm

Astoria7974 · 09/03/2017 18:40

IveAlreadyPaid - that's truly shocking. I've supported a household of 6 earning less than £13k per year - because I was a sibling caring for the kids & not a parent I didn't qualify for anything.

ShoutOutToMyEx · 09/03/2017 18:41

We shouldn't be making living on benefits attractive.

If you think it's so great, no one's stopping you from giving it a go.

DianaMemorialJam · 09/03/2017 18:42

But yet you want people to receive food parcels Astoria? You make no fucking sense.

Astoria7974 · 09/03/2017 18:42

Shoutouttomyex- no thanks I have my pride

partlyawake · 09/03/2017 18:42

It can be really depressing being on benefits and using some of the money for treats like tattoo's, new hairstyles, new shoes can be a good confidence boost. But yes it would have annoyed me hearing her moan about not being able to afford her children's swimming lessons while sporting a new tattoo. Personally I see swimming as a life skill and would have prefered to gift them this rather than treat myself!
