To think that people living on welfare shouldn't be running off every five minutes for a new tattoo or piercing?

I'm probably going to get shot down for this, but I just had a little disagreement with a woman I know. She posted a photo on Facebook of a rather large tattoo on her forearm that she'd just had done. Last month she had skin divers put in her chest and hand. The month before she had another shit tattoo.
This individual is single and has two children. She hasn't worked a day in the last decade, but is living off the state. Am I being a bitch by thinking she should spend the money she receives on feeding the children and keeping a roof over their heads? I noted that she feeds her boys Pot Noodle for dinner but makes sure she's got her fags too. It just annoys me.

Over 450 messages in five and a half hours. That's got to be a record yeah??? Grin That's over 80 posts an hour!

Has there been a thread that's ever beat his LOL?!

My one solution is for women to embrace a child free lifestyle. I firmly believe that having children in a patriarchal society traps and limits women's choices and ability to protect themselves and ensure their independence and freedom. And this choice is not available to women in cwrtain countries. But of course this is a very unpopular view.

PortiaCastis · 09/03/2017 22:34

I haven't gone I'm here and I resent being called a fag ash lil.

ShoutOutToMyEx · 09/03/2017 22:35

ShoutOutToMyEx love the username by the way! smile yes I know. Was in a DV relationship myself. I've also done a bit of work in DV courts but my most memorable one was on a Monday morning when we were 'processing' the weekend arrests. The solicitor admirably stood there and kept his calm as he read off a very long charge sheet of offences the defendant committed, all of them the injuries one man had caused his 'dear' girlfriend. Poor lass. Imagine being told it was your own fault.

Thanks Away

The situation you've described makes me want to cry.

Especially because so many women truly believe it is all their own fault anyway, and then when they finally find the strength to speak out and ask for help, all too often that belief just gets reflected back at them when they're at their most vulnerable.

I don't agree Draylon. I think the only way to deal with these threads is to take the piss.

The OP is trolling. Pure and simple.

Nobody on Mn ever stops to think that a refuge may be full up or it's impossible to get to with no money when you have to run. Also I was married for three years and already had a child before the violence started

I agree with you Draylon, I find the taking the piss script really tedious. I don't think that OP is a troll either.

allfurcoatandnoknickers1 · 09/03/2017 22:56

I'm absolutely not trolling. These are my honest and genuine opinions. Benefit claimants shouldn't be allowed to waste their money on crap tattoos.
I'm ok with you saying I'm trolling though. And calling me a cunt. And a twat. I still think I'm right.

These sort of threads do need closing down. Every Tom,Dick and Harry thinks it's funny to wind up MN

Sparklydress · 09/03/2017 22:57

FGS, why because someone has a different view to you make them a troll?

Why do they need 'closing down'?

Are you talking to me?

Dontactlikeyouknowme · 09/03/2017 23:00

It's not a different opinion it's a deliberate attempt to cause a row on the internet.

Been there,done that.

allfurcoatandnoknickers1 · 09/03/2017 23:02

But I honestly and naively believed that the majority would agree with me. I'm surprised to discover that the majority think wasting tax payers money is fine!

Sorry, I didn't realise that you are in charge.
Was your previous comment to me?

Dontactlikeyouknowme · 09/03/2017 23:04

You used as many phrases as you could to cause as much offense as possible.

lazy fat arses
Bullet in the head.

Dontactlikeyouknowme · 09/03/2017 23:06

No Sparkly. I have no interest in what you are saying.

Sparklydress · 09/03/2017 23:07

I am reporting you as quite bored of your inference that I am a sockpuppet.
It is really better to have reported me than behave like this.
It would then have been confirmed that I am not and have been a member since 2003.
Just because I said that you don't run the show...

Sparklydress · 09/03/2017 23:08

You chat away to yourself then Grin. Are you upset that not everyone finds the pot noodle jokes funny? Has it annoyed you?

Dontactlikeyouknowme · 09/03/2017 23:09

I have never once said you were a sockie. What the fuck are you on about.?

PortiaCastis · 09/03/2017 23:12

It's ok don't act I agree with you.
