Never posted here before but me and DH are having a discussion about what to do.

We have a driveway next to our house, our car is parked on our driveway. Our neighbours always have lots of cars around their house (2 on drive way, one in front on their house, one in front of our house). Today someone has parked their car in front of my drive, totally blocking in my car.

Have knocked on both neighbours - one didn't know whose it was. The other (the one with all the cars) wasn't in.

DH went out to put a note on the car and found the door was ajar. He's now talking about putting it in gear and pushing it down the road. I have a feeling this might be slightly illegal!

We go in holiday tomorrow at 930am and therefore need the car.

Thoughts?!!!

alfagirl73 · 05/03/2017 21:52

A parking thread... with a diagram... love it! :-)

Evilstepmum01 · 05/03/2017 21:52

Move it. then sit and watch!

not placemarking. Nope.

AyeAmarok · 05/03/2017 21:53

You are a very good parking thread poster OP. The diagram is sublime!

SteppingOnToes · 05/03/2017 21:53

Don't go getting yourself bopped on the nose though - we don't want this thread deleting like the last one :(

bummymummy77 · 05/03/2017 21:54

The last parking thread person got bopped on the nose?!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 05/03/2017 21:54

Ooh placemarking!

Kudos for the diagram OP. It needs to be part of the Talk Guidelines that all parking threads must have a diagram

aintnobodygottimefodat · 05/03/2017 21:54

SteppingOnToes what have I missed?! Shock

TheImprobableGirl · 05/03/2017 21:55

Ooooh roll it 😁

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 05/03/2017 21:55

I missed a nose bop? Gutted.

emmabrown123 · 05/03/2017 21:56

My neighbours are absolute dicks. The guy who lives there answered the door and apparently told my DH "yeah, it's my mates car, there was nowhere else to park". DH has asked him to move it. He said his mate was leaving in a few mins so it would be gone then.

Sorry for such a boring end to the thread!!!

They sound charming. Hmm

ChasedByBees · 05/03/2017 21:58

I would call the police and ask them to move it.

ChasedByBees · 05/03/2017 21:59

OK, yeah, they're dicks.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 05/03/2017 21:59

Just move it! Years ago I parked on the road near our flat (nowhere near a drive and not blocking anyone) and when I went out the next morning I was completely blocked it. DH came out, gave the car a shove and it rolled as presumably it had a dodgy handbrake, I drove off and we left the other car where it stopped. There wasn't a lot else we could do to be honest and hopefully the twat was more careful in future.

JaneEyre70 · 05/03/2017 22:00

Push it and leave it in the road. With the hazards and lights on. And deny all knowledge.

Pallisers · 05/03/2017 22:03

They are complete dicks. What did your dh say? I hope it was something along the lines of no he moves it right now and if he ever parks there again, I'll be moving it for him.

How can people be so self-absorbed.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/03/2017 22:04

We had a random car parked on our land (not the drive, but there's a space in front of the garage at the end of the garden).
I stuck a note , in a plastic bag, well taped, requesting the owner to shift it. The note/bag/tape all vanished so I reckon torn off not blew away.
The Police were not much help TBH. I phoned them , said the car was on my property, had no tax disc , in front of my garage.
As it was on private property (my property though) it didn't need tax.
They weren't stopping my car, it lives on the off street not the garage.
They couldn't tell me the owner (data protection)

The car was unlocked, DH and friend rolled it onto the road......where I don;t give a shiney shit what happened to it. Crushed hopefully .

Anticlimax.

But - I really like your hand writing. Especially the way you wrote neighbours.

MrTCakes · 05/03/2017 22:10

Ahhh this thread showed so much promise!

thenightsky · 05/03/2017 22:11

If I had to get out the airport first thing, I'd mega stressed and freaking out! Get it towed at any price OP!

thenightsky · 05/03/2017 22:12

Gah... x post

BitOutOfPractice · 05/03/2017 22:12

Jaynebxl · 05/03/2017 22:17
