Would you trust two 5 year olds with this?

So we've recently gotten a nice sofa bed for the living room. My 5 year old is desperate for a sleepover now with her friends. She shares a room with her brother and there wasn't really room or comfortable enough makeshift beds before. But it would mean there would be nowhere for me to sleep comfortably downstairs with them. My daughter is sensible for her age and will come to me if there's any problems but the idea of leaving two little ones downstairs makes me a little anxious!

I wouldn't bother with sleepovers for a good few years yet myself!

trifle,
I work with kids and it is one of the fundamental basics of child protection. Brownie leaders, teachers etc would never sleep in same room as kids.
This has, for example, meant that the school super sleepover where the whole primary school slept in the hall one night, and which was a highlight of the school year, is no longer allowed, as teachers in same room as kids overnight.

So, while I would never let my child sleepover at anyone's house unless I was 100% happy, I am also aware that you can never actually know, and good practice is not to have adults overnight with kids.

Don't see a problem with it. I'm assuming you wouldn't be going off to bed if they are still awake and in charge of the tele? Can't see that being up a few stairs instead of across a landing is much different.
