I've made myself watch it a few times, in an if you can't beat em join em kind of way but I never laugh. Ever.
It leaves me cold.
What's wrong with me? Shock

I love Ant & Dec in everything else, but not this.

Yes I'm a miserable sod. Grin
I never cracked a smile. I gave up before the Jamie Oliver bit

ME TOO GLITTERAZI! You bunch of miserable so and so's what's not to love

Yay! Blimey, this thread's full of miserable sods, glad I'm not the only cheery one in here. Smile
I bet you looked out the window for helicopters as well as me, didn't you... Grin just in case as you never know

Raiseyourglass26 · 26/02/2017 13:58

I was really looking forward to it returning but the undercover part just didn't sit right with me last night and getting the people on a helicopter to come and watch the show live for only about 20 minutes seemed completely pointless.

Littlepiglittlepig3letmeIN · 26/02/2017 14:01

It's Mr Blobby on Steroids.

Never liked Noels House Party either. Hmm

talidinozzo · 26/02/2017 14:02

I really like it. It's silly and fun and we need more of that. Weekend TV is so often full of shite that it's nice to have something decent and lighthearted. No more of this ninja warrior or take me out crap.

glitterazi · 26/02/2017 14:04

I really like it. It's silly and fun and we need more of that

Totally agree.

Oh and I loved Noel's House Party too

ArriettyClock1 · 26/02/2017 14:06

I love Ant and Dec and we usually watch this, as the dcs love it.

It was really awful last night though.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 26/02/2017 14:08

I really dislike this sort of silly telly - was never a Morecambe and Wise or Noel's House Party fan myself either. I'd rather watch a documentary or a well acted drama than an hour of inane drivel. I don't care if that makes me boring.

Honeyandfizz · 26/02/2017 14:10

I LOVE IT TOO!!! >>>>>runs!

Makes a change from bloody talent shows.
I didn't think Jamie Oliver saw the funny side of the prank though.

KoalaDownUnder · 26/02/2017 14:13

I have no idea what it is (am not in UK).

However, if Ant and Dec are in it, I'm willing to say it's shite purely on that basis.

They weren't funny over 10 years ago, so I can't imagine they are now.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 26/02/2017 14:36

I don't see why people should be described as miserable simply for saying they find a TV programme unfunny and tedious. I don't like it and don't watch it either. I'm entitled to an opinion, just as anyone who finds it amusing, witty, well presented is.

I do admire Ant and Dec for persuading the public that they are talented though, despite evidence to he contrary.

TinfoilHattie · 26/02/2017 14:38

It's on ITV, what do you expect? Their "light entertainment" is dire and catering for the lowest common denominator.

The only things worth watching on ITV are some of their drama series like Broadchurch or Vera.

RockyBird · 26/02/2017 14:43

What happened with the Jamie Oliver prank?

glitterazi · 26/02/2017 14:45

Each to their own. I personally like a good drama or serious thing, but also like the frivolous entertainment as well such as Saturday Night Takeaway.
Sometimes silly is good too. Smile

Have to disagree with that, though - they're fantastic at what they do and wouldn't have been around for thirty or so years if they weren't!
They appeal to the likes of me who harks after nostalgia type shows, and family entertainment.
Used to love Beadle's About shows age , Noel's House Party, SMTV Live and all that type stuff.
It's all just same old same old on telly usually - reality crap, talent shows etc. They're top and do so well because their type of entertainment is so unique nowadays - there's not enough of it!
Plus, they're funny.
My opinion and obviously loads of others too otherwise they wouldn't be so popular. Smile

Grilledaubergines · 26/02/2017 14:46

Dame but you don't have to put up with it, do you?

ALemonyPea · 26/02/2017 14:48

I love it. Made me laugh several times, especially the floor is lava bit.

Makes a change to all the talent shows.

glitterazi · 26/02/2017 14:48

Exactly, that's what the off switch was invented for! Or the remote to you know, actually turn over and watch something you do like.... Confused

WipsGlitter · 26/02/2017 14:50

It was a bit crap.

No harm to Scarlett but her bit was dire. That couple she dragged along looked petrified.

I like the Jamie Oliver bit though.

MissMogwi · 26/02/2017 14:51

I can't stand it. Cheesy, cringey and the same every week.

Unfortunately for me my DP and kids all love it, so I take myself off out or for a bath.

GoofyIsACow · 26/02/2017 14:52

It is the best show on television hands down... I love watching it with our DC's, we all laugh a lot. It's fun!

But I don't judge you all for being miserable not liking it. Everyone is different!

Sparklingbrook · 26/02/2017 14:53

It's ok but I think it's had it's day now and is quite samey. But so has X Factor/The Voice/BGT etc.

Scarlett Moffatt is v annoying and Michelle Keegan last night was awful. I do like Ant and Dec and I also think there's a place for family viewing on a Saturday night but not sure what.

ArriettyClock1 · 26/02/2017 14:55

The poor couple Scarlett brought along (what was the point of that?).

I have never seen someone more nervous than that woman! Her head was in her chest cavity.

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 26/02/2017 14:55

Im bored of Ant and Dec now. Obviously other people aren't which is fair enough. I used to love SMTV though.

Ive not watched Take Away for years. Doesn't mean Im miserable though just because I dont particularly like that program. I have plenty of fun and laughter in other ways and I find being called miserable just because you dont have the same interests is a bit rude TBH.

SouthWestmom · 26/02/2017 14:58

The bit with Scarlett was so weird. They weren't waving at the windows - how pissed would you be to live in that street and be waving!

Magzmarsh · 26/02/2017 15:07

I think the face they weren't waving at the window and she went in anyway shows the whole thing is a big fix.
