It's got to the point where it's none stop..

  • She got a massive bouquet of flowers delivered on valentines but no idea who they are from.
  • Guy had a couple of dates with her and was saying she's the one.
  • Guy asked for her number on the bus.
  • Colleague is sending her naked photos.
  • Guy at work said she's absolutely stunning (she's told me this 4 times now).
  • Another guy telling her he's fallen for her.

I honestly could go on ....

I just don't get why she does it. She's a lot prettier than I am 100% so it's not a jealousy thing ...

Having said that, she was even more put out if they didnt respond and OMG you didnt want to be the woman that a man showed interest in if she was in the same room.......its like she couldnt compute the concept of him wanting to talk to anyone but her.

Because shes not and is feeling low

I frequently get asked for my number or am complimented by men (and occasionally women) about my looks. However I very rarely mention it to friends because it may well come across as boastful. It's only the more amusing experiences that I share with them. So I kind of understand where the OP is coming from.

I once had a friend at work who was utterly stunning and lovely with it. We were out for drinks and she was laughing about the way cheesy way blokes you don't know in bars send over a bottle of champagne and then raise their glasses with a grin to show you where it had come from.

We were all Shock had never happened to any of us but obviously did to her on a regular basis. She wasn't boasting at all, it was just her normality.

I sometimes tell people if I get attention but I actually got so sick of being letched upon when I was single that I got fat. On purpose. And it helped. I got sick of it because literally no man ever got to know me as a person, just the exterior. I am sure my friends got fed up if I told them things but generally I was complaining about it, but then some of them didn't appreciate that either so I can't win if I say anything it feels like a boast.

Now I found a lovely man I intend to get a bit less fat.

She sounds insecure because actually it's quite demoralising deep down only being seen for what you look like on the outside and that warm fuzzy feeling it can give you doesn't last very long, not like when someone actually likes your personality.

Maybe ask her if she would rather they liked her mind than her face/body? She might admit it bothers her

TheNaze73 · 17/02/2017 08:17

Because she's a needy, insecure prick.

malificent7 · 17/02/2017 08:35

Aww bless her. Just smile and nod ( this would irritate the fuck out of me but what can you do?! )

livefornaps · 17/02/2017 08:45

Haha @whirlygirly, did your friend think she'd just stepped out of sex and the city or something?

TwistedReality · 17/02/2017 08:57

I know someone like this. The last 3 relationships she has had all of them declared their undying love to her, wanted to marry and have her babies (truth was they used and dumped her because they didn't want to commit!)

Guys she apparently meets on nights out, who think she's amazing and gorgeous, declare their love for her to the point that they won't leave her alone to the point of being stalkerish.
Dates that she apparently goes on who are talking about marriage right from the off.

Women who tell her how pretty she is, how nice and kind she is, how popular she is, that she is a great all rounder who people can rely on as she never lets anyone down. She's been often heard to say "that's my problem, I'm too nice"

Then there was lesbian woman (was a complete stranger) who contacted her on Facebook telling her how gorgeous she was and wanted to take her out on a date.
I could go on but won't because it's all bollocks.

Truth is she is very narcissistic, massively insecure and has a dreadfully low self esteem. She so desperate to have that happy ever she has to create these situations to make herself feel good about herself.
