On the one hand we voted to support a UN council motion criticising Isreal building on the west bank, on the other hand May is getting pretty friendly with them at the moment and got a bit of a strop on about Kerry's criticism of them in December

It's a bloody awful situation - and there are many people in that part of the world who just want peace.

Palestine will not take further oppression of palestinian people when the world is shying away. Isreal has basically put a new law in place which allows settlements on private palestinian land. So basically, if your neigbour took your house, that would be legal.

Then we wonder why Palestinians get upset

I heard that hotline programme, too! Normally I find Rosen's programme soporific, but it was fascinating to hear what the "Hotline" really is/has been.

Sometimes I can take 20-60 minutes to write an email, maybe even a short email, figuring out how to phrase it just right (and get the right attachments). Made me feel better about my email composition times.

I am wondering how long it will take the workd to figure out that the israeli governments of the last decade or so have no intention of seeing a palestinian state. Why do you think the right wing government rejoices when Trump supports them in enforcing conditions for a homeless Palestinian nation being systematically robbed of their land.

So basically trump has said isreal can keep stalling. they want to maintain the status quo.
