I flicked over to see Ryan speaking. Had to turn it off. It's a conundrum for me. I want to know what's happening but when I watch I get so angry and upset that I have to turn it off.

It's one of the things that I find truly helpful about these threads. I get the news via posts here (thank you Ginger and others) but it's immediately followed by numerous posts by you lot making fun, criticizing, and/or speaking home truths. It makes it much easier to digest without getting upset thinking "Is no one else seeing this? Does no one else care?". (of course plenty of people care, but you don't see their immediate response on TV).

The other point I have seen mentioned, but can't find the post now is that they are arguing the surveillance is wrong because Flynn was a private citizen, but that it was ok for him to talk to Russia about the sanctions because he was part of the Government. Either he was a private citizen so should not have been discussing the sanctions or he was a member of the government in which can it is perfectly legal for them to monitor his phone calls. They can't have it both ways
