. I don't want to chat about work whilst plopping in the toilet. I would never follow someone in the toilet to carry on a conversation

I thought it was etiquette never to intentionally go into a cubicle next to someone you knew

earlgrey · 28/02/2007 15:21

I always used to make up some lame excuse about having left the iron/hob/whatever on and go home, Waswondering!

pishwasher · 28/02/2007 15:22

{ewww, you poo at work?!)

piglit · 28/02/2007 15:22

LOL @ earlgrey!

Whoooosh · 28/02/2007 15:25

Ooooh NO!

I couldn't talk to anyone whilst doing a poo-in fact I am biologically pre-disposed to retain poo when in the presence of others...

compo · 28/02/2007 15:27

definitely ot unreasonable.
My sisetr used to talk to me outside the loo when we were young. My dh said his mother used to talk to him when she was doing a poo - leave bathroom door open and carry on conversation, until he left home at 18

bringmeashrubbery · 28/02/2007 15:30

I always used to poo at work - I figured doing it in work's time meant you were being paid for having a dump !

ScummyMummy · 28/02/2007 15:32

lol, bringmeashrubbery.

NOE · 28/02/2007 15:32

pooing at work

Tortington · 28/02/2007 15:32

i think as long as your work shitting environment is ok one should always shit at work - thereby getting paid for your crap.

if you work it out 10 mins crap time once a day over your working year can add up to quite a bit

compo · 28/02/2007 15:33

those who don't poo at work do you hold it in all day?
(even more ick imo)

sandyballs · 28/02/2007 15:34

Out of interest, how can you not pooh at work? Surely if you need to go, you need to go? Can't be healthy to hold it in .

NineUnlikelyTales · 28/02/2007 15:34

I can't help where I need to poo, not being anally retentove there is not a lot I can do about it (JOKE BTW[wink[).

I would hate anyone to try and converse with me whilst doing the deed. I don't like conversations in loos anyway. But in fairness, it would be difficult for the other party to know what you are doing in there and unless you say "Sorry I am having a poo, can you shut up please" (or splash), I guess it is acceptable to some people.

LowFatMilkshake · 28/02/2007 15:35

LOL BMAS!

When in labour I got told baby was caught behind my full bowels and I had to poo before he would come down

So in the little cubicle, with no door in the labour suite with DH, a midwife and student midwife all pretnedning to be interested in the decour and my notes I had to poo!

It;s bad enough at home when DD(3) burst in and say "Are you having a pooh mummy?" for al to hear.

Defo could not go at work!

So Sandyballs - did someone actually follow you to loo?

NOE · 28/02/2007 15:35

compo, you can set your watch by my bowels. I go once a day, in the evening. Problem solved.

Tortington · 28/02/2007 15:38

i get paid approx £2 after tax for shitting at work thats over £100 per year for shit.

Marina · 28/02/2007 15:40

Bringmeashrubbery you have got to be a public sector worker with that awesome attitude

bringmeashrubbery · 28/02/2007 15:40

custardo, I did try and work out the ppd (pay per dump) once - it worked out at £4.39 gross (indeed...) at the height of my earning capacity.

bringmeashrubbery · 28/02/2007 15:40

x posts ! lol

sandyballs · 28/02/2007 15:42

Yes she did follow me , we were chatting by my desk about a meeting we're trying to organise and I excused myself, saying I needed the ladies. The next thing I know, she's outsdie the cubicle carrying on the conversation . I haven't got a problem with poohing at work, but I need a bit of privacy. If she was a mate I wouldn't mind so much, but she's not - just someone I work with.

sleepysooz · 28/02/2007 15:43

this thread has made me laugh, and no I wouldn't have a conflab when having a pooh!

sandyballs · 28/02/2007 15:43

Me too

bringmeashrubbery · 28/02/2007 15:45

I would object to someone chatting to me though I have to say
