AIBU?

To be jealous of DH for sleeping soundly

I know I am U, but I am so jealous. I want to sleep soundly all night, pretty much every night.

I woke up at 1.50 this morning, 3am yesterday, 4am the day before. I just want to sleep! I couldn't tell you the last time I slept all night- just after Xmas maybe?

I have anxiety and a poorly sleeping toddler.

I have nearly resorted to violence with deep sleeping DH over his glib comments about my sluggishness by day sometimes.
On a more serious note I've crashed my cat and nearly lost my job over it.

I now have "do not disturb" nights. Should have started them earlier as I could pump even when BFING.

Car. I have never crashed a cat.

I started sleeping as the by product of a VLCD. Bizarre but life changing. I think at the end of the day there were no calories left to burn so I crashed. Eating more currently and sleeping is fucked again.

YABU. But IABU too because DH falling asleep the second his head hits the pillow really winds me up Grin

My main problem is brain in overdrive - it takes hours for me to fall asleep. Then getting up in the morning is horrendous.

Taken a herbal sleeping pill for tonight, I really need to catch up :(

I read that it's entirely normal for us to wake in the middle of the night for a while
and that stopped me stressing about it. I used to get really pissed off with my inability to sleep the night through which kept me awake even longer! Now I just use the waking time to watch what I want on iplayer.

I know how you feel. I can only get to sleep in a very specific set of circumstances and I'm usually tossing and turning all night. DP can - and I'm not exaggerating here - sleep literally anywhere and at any time. As soon as his head hits the pillow he's asleep. DS1 is the same - can sleep anywhere. DS2 is more like me and can only sleep with his mask on, earplugs in and even then he struggles. We both have restless legs as well!
