Yesterday came home to find a bit of folded-up paper wedged in a crack in the fence wall bit (pavement goes right past it). Opened it up to find 2x2p coins inside unrecognisable writing - see pic!

I have known taweez that need to be outside. So maybe it was left there on purpose

LeninaCrowne · 11/02/2017 09:35

Its not Korean.

quarkinstockcubes · 11/02/2017 09:35

Lavender that is what I was thinking. But taweez will often have some type of filth such as blood or excrement smeared over it. This one looks really clean, although I am wondering if the pin holes are relevant.

LavenderDoll · 11/02/2017 09:38

The taweez I used just needed to be wrapped in black cloth and put on a tree. But I know there are so many different ones. Personally I wouldn't meddle with it just from my experience of taweez

quarkinstockcubes · 11/02/2017 09:39

A quick google tells me that copper is used in Pagan spells.

LavenderDoll · 11/02/2017 09:39

Sorry I have re read and that sounds sinister apologies.

TheHobbitMum · 11/02/2017 09:52

Absolutely intriguing! I've no idea what it could be but I'd love to know 😂

ArriettyClock1 · 11/02/2017 09:52

People leave all sorts of weird things as geocache - I know mine did when they were younger and into it.

DaphneDeLaFontaine · 11/02/2017 09:54

I hope you washed your hands after touching it, OP.

MrsCaecilius · 11/02/2017 09:59

Shameless place marking! Fascinating.

TinfoilHattie · 11/02/2017 10:01

Do people really believe in spells and that a piece of paper with some writing and 4p can bring them harm??

It's all very odd and not a script I recognise either. Interesting to find out what it is, but it's not creepy or sinister.

MakingMerry · 11/02/2017 10:10

TinfoilHattie I'm not superstitious, and it wouldn't be the items themselves which unnerved me, but the possible negative intent behind the actions, and what other actions that might lead to.

(Not that I know in this case what the intent behind leaving this item was - positive, negative or neutral - or who it was aimed at.)

NotYoda · 11/02/2017 10:15

This is very interesting.

MommaGee · 11/02/2017 10:19

Place marking for the arrival of Winchesters. Starry you can only come of you dont want Sammy

PhilODox · 11/02/2017 10:19

Hmm, I am guessing now it is some JuJu cha or spell. Do you have any West African communities by you? Igbo Nigerians perhaps?

PhilODox · 11/02/2017 10:19

Cha was charm.

PhilODox · 11/02/2017 10:22

And tinfoilhattie- people believe all sort of things, mindboggling really. I'm guessing by your name, you're more of a sceptic Grin

Snowkitty · 11/02/2017 10:25

Oooh - I love a good spy story. I've no idea what it is but I REALLY want to know.

SemiNormal · 11/02/2017 10:28

When I was a kid me and my friends played spies. We had secret membership cards (they were the flaps from cereal boxes that have coloured circles on them) - My brother used to do this too Shock

ReapAndSow · 11/02/2017 10:32

TinFoilHat. (Apt name Grin)

I agree with you. It's amazing I. This day and age that people can be so superstitious

Intruiged · 11/02/2017 10:35

As a Hungarian, I can confirm it is not Hungarian, we have the same alphabet as the English. Very weird and creepy!!

Ellisandra · 11/02/2017 10:37
