I just want a shower! wanted one last night but boiler packed up. engineer came out at midnight left at 1 problem was solved. OH went off to work leaving me and DD at home and since then this kid just wont let up or leave me alone! I have even given her extra TV time and I am having to endure that bastard iggle bloody piggle and upsy daisy practically trying to shag each other every 2 mins and dont get me started on makka pakka selling his rocks from his cave!

Yes my 8 month old is defiantly showing mummy who is boss today! my OH isn't due back until 9 and I am just counting down the mins until DDs bedtime.

I just want a shower and to wash my hair is that so wrong?? :(

Yosh, totally agree with you I don't usually have days like this Ive only had a handful of days where nothing has got done most of them were in the early days when I was still getting used to having a baby of my own.

I don't ever recall going to the loo with baby on my knee, but maybe it happened and I've just blanked it out! Grin

Seriously though, it's fine for babies to cry for 60 seconds now and again. It's not cruelty. I had both mine as a lone parent and there was just no way I could have avoided times where they had to cry for a minute or two while I did something.

OneWithTheForce: Of course it isn't cruel if you need to do something and it's unavoidable.

Evenings after work/ nursery I go to the loo with baby on one knee, and three year old trying to climb onto other knee, hand down bra for comfort. They're tiny little, tired dependant, beings. It drives me up the wall but I'll miss it when they dont need me any more!
