Aibu - the person that "makes" tea does not have to clear up

Please help me settle a long standing disagreement with my DH....

In our house we have the fairly standard rule that he or she who does not make tea has to clear the plates etc away after. The process of ordering of a takeaway for both of us counts as "making tea" and therefore the person that does the ordering does not have to clear up afterwards. AIBU?

*the dishwasher not he dishwasher - we don't have one each

The cook should wash up as they go along - then the other person clears the rest up after dinner.

With takeaways we also do the 'one orders one puts in the DW' as ordering is as much a pain as loading the DW.

How can you live with someone who reuses to do some basic house work?

For those of you with children who clear up, what age did you start training them? DS is 4, so can't reach the work surface or the sink yet.

My eldest has just turned 12. He wants money for going to Starbucks with his mates (living the life big time!) so he has to help clear up.

Those under 11 have to lay table but not clear.

DH does all clearing up after supper whether it is a takeaway or not because I plan, buy the food for and cook the meals.
