Huh? Confused

GinIsIn · 08/02/2017 21:11

Have I missed something here? How on earth is knowing if your friend has wifi urgent? Confused

Buttercupsandaisies · 08/02/2017 21:11

I agree with previous poster - her DH has text and she's worried he's lied about his whereabouts!

MsJamieFraser · 08/02/2017 21:13

so what did the text say, and why is this urgent Hmm

kaputt · 08/02/2017 21:13

Maybe OP is a drug smuggler and her friend has 'the package' and she was worried that the friend had absconded with it

and was sending friendly messages to throw her off the track

which would backfire as she's supposed to be on a plane with no wifi

but actually planes do have wifi so OP YOUR FRIEND HAS TOTALLY DONE A RUNNER WITH THE DRUGS

arethereanyleftatall · 08/02/2017 21:22

I think op was worried thinking that you're not allowed to use phones on board, and friend would only do so in an emergency, thus friend texting her meant her friend was in danger and she was panicking?

SavoyCabbage · 08/02/2017 21:28

I had no idea there were planes that didn't have wifi!

Also, there's portable wifi.

IwasAM · 08/02/2017 21:32

'I think op was worried thinking that you're not allowed to use phones on board, and friend would only do so in an emergency, thus friend texting her meant her friend was in danger and she was panicking?'

THIS.

But now she realise many planes do indeed have wifi and that you are allowed to use phones on them she is probably off hiding under the stairs in utter mortification given scale of initial panic Grin

TBF though, the friend didn't exactly help by sending a message consisting simply of one lone 'x' kiss either.

picklemepopcorn · 08/02/2017 21:37

I don't think she sent a kiss, I think it was a texting app called Kik. But I could be wrong. She typed it more than once...

toldmywraath · 08/02/2017 21:38

Darn I miss out on all the fun of deleted posts. I do likeDonald is that you? thoughGrin presumably nasty nasty women was in the deleted post?

Leggit · 08/02/2017 21:42

If the friend was texting from onboard due to an emergency though she would probably have mentioned the emergency to the OP

Waltermittythesequel · 08/02/2017 21:43

This place is hilarious at times!

LolaTheDarkdestroyer · 08/02/2017 21:56

Strange.

RortyCrankle · 08/02/2017 22:15

OMG OP didn't you know - when someone is on a flight and they want to send a text, they are strapped outside on the wing of the plane - its a wonderful signal out there apparently for kik, whatever the hell kik is Grin

Why the urgency?

RortyCrankle · 09/02/2017 01:26

Have to admit EyeStye that I don't have a clue what whatsapp is either.

Kik reminds me of when I'm typing on skype, put my fingers on the wrong keys and type kik instead of lol. Oh what a joy it is to be ancient and ignorant [grin ]
