Please explain the urgent nature of this post.

PurpleDaisies · 08/02/2017 20:33

Did you think she'd had her phone stolen? Was the message concerning?
Confused

GeekyWombat · 08/02/2017 20:46

Very dramatic!

ThymeLord · 08/02/2017 20:48

StickyMouse · 08/02/2017 20:48

Quartz2208 · 08/02/2017 20:50

Yep my friend said her husband sent her whats app messages on his flight to manilla. It was not great an online signal so he could not stream videos or access sites that easily but whats app worked just fine.

Leggit · 08/02/2017 20:51

nasty women, you don't know it could be urgent please enlighten us as to what you rhink may have been urgent

DaphneDeLaFontaine · 08/02/2017 20:52

Why are you doubting her? Is she a liar.usually?

ShotsFired · 08/02/2017 20:53

There are dozens, hundreds of cases where people have been scammed by instant messages or social media contacts from "friends"supposedly abroad and stranded/injured/some other story, needing money transferred.

I first thought the OP might come back and say she'd received some kind of message along those lines, and was trying to ascertain whether it was legit given how she believed her friend was currently mid-air but nothing so far apart from even more cryptic replies!

WaitrosePigeon · 08/02/2017 20:54

Oooo

Leggit · 08/02/2017 20:54

Why did you not just say to your friend 'oh, that's cool, you have on board wifi'

DonkeyOaty · 08/02/2017 20:57

Not nosing around here at all, oh no no no

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 08/02/2017 20:59

This is epic

DonkeyOaty · 08/02/2017 21:03

Frumps and cunts. That's my kinda gang.

melj1213 · 08/02/2017 21:03

ShotsFired That was my thought ... that there would be a follow up of "Thanks, for the reassurance I just got a message asking for but as far as I was aware she was mid long haul flight and so wouldn't be able to send a message at all, and panicked as to whether something had happened to them or whether her phone had been hacked!"

If anything it seems like the OP is the one in trouble as they don't seem to be able to write more than about 10 words per post, nor do they seem to be able to answer any of the questions posed.

Aridane · 08/02/2017 21:06

I had no idea wifi was a thing on planes!
