To see fifty shades of grey with dd?

ToddBell · 06/02/2017 20:37

DD is now 18 and wants to see fifty shades of grey with me. She has seen the first one but didn't go to the cinema as she wasn't old enough but saw it last year.

Would I be U to go and see it with her? Or will it look odd?

I don't think it matters if it looks odd but will you both be comfortable? I'd turn inside out with embarrassment if I saw it with my mother.

harderandharder2breathe · 06/02/2017 20:39

I wouldn't want to see it with my mum but if you and DD are both happy then do it. Who cares what anyone else thinks?

Trainspotting1984 · 06/02/2017 20:39

Oh god it would be awful. Don't even. Watching cheesy wank films with your DD? Confused

WanderingNotLost · 06/02/2017 20:40

If you're both comfortable seeing it together, why not? Can't think of anything I'd want to do less with my Mum!

Ilovecaindingle · 06/02/2017 20:40

Maybe OK as long as you don't give it a review on the way home! Grin

Cubtrouble · 06/02/2017 20:40

God. No way

Sparklingbrook · 06/02/2017 20:40

You are both adults. It will be fine.

ShatnersBassoon · 06/02/2017 20:41

I can't imagine that would be ideal for either of you. What would the post-viewing discussion be like?

Can't she go with some friends?

kel1234 · 06/02/2017 20:41

I don't think I'd want to watch it with my mum tbh

ArriettyClock1 · 06/02/2017 20:42

Cringe, a thousand times over.

Would you have gone to see a low rent porno with your mum?

maras2 · 06/02/2017 20:42

NOoooooooooooooooooo!
Shock Shock Shock
FFS NOoooooooooooooo.

likeacrow · 06/02/2017 20:43

Trainspotting1984 Grin ha ha!

DrWhooves · 06/02/2017 20:44

Oh god, I remember watching the first trainspotting film at home on video with my mum and I was cringing so much at Ewan McGregors shagging and full frontal nudity scene Blush. I haven't seen the first Shades film, how full on is it. Fairly explicit I'd guess?

OnHold · 06/02/2017 20:44

Good god, nooooooooooo.

DoloresAbernathy · 06/02/2017 20:45

Ah it'll be fine!

Somerville · 06/02/2017 20:46

I'm all Confused and about emails flying between mums from DD2's class arranging a 'mums' night out' to watch it.

ToddBell · 06/02/2017 20:47

It's her who wants to go!! I didn't really enjoy the first one tbh I would be going because she asked

OP posts:
ArriettyClock1 · 06/02/2017 20:49

A mums' night out to watch it.

There, I have found the ultimate cringe.

pinkiepie1 · 06/02/2017 20:50

I went with my mum and sis, we laughed how cringe worthy it was but we had a laugh.
I still can't watch anything to do with sex with my dad though. Hated telling him I was pregnant because he would know I had sex Blush lol.

Iggi999 · 06/02/2017 20:51

Barf.
Sorry

Somerville · 06/02/2017 20:52

Right, Arietty?! Want to know the worst thing of all? They have cc'ed in the class teacher.

ToddBell · 06/02/2017 20:56

I guess I'll tell her it's a no then lmao!

OP posts:
Bluebellevergreen · 06/02/2017 20:57

Why why why would you do this? I was with my mum in the same room now and she said she was reading it ConfusedConfusedConfused

Emboo19 · 06/02/2017 20:59

Watched the first with my mum, and god mums. I wasn't even quite 18!
Will be watching the second one as well.

MsJamieFraser · 06/02/2017 21:03
