AIBU to be annoyed at woman letting her dog piss on my property?

I'm on a rare day at home as youngest ds is off sick. Pottering about doing some housework and as I looked out a local woman dog walking was letting her dog pee over the bit of grass to the side of my drive. It is on my property. I have a dog and certainly wouldn't let her go inside a person's property to piss or shit. She tried to pull the dog away but only after she saw me looking out. I know you can't stop an animal toileting but I think that's bloody rude. Also wondering if she regularly lets her dog do this as I'm normally at work all day!! AIBU? Angry

Actually boy dog pee turns your grass yellow/kills it too ... Because I'm lazy and let the dog out to pee on the grass we have a lot of yellow spots on the grass. Also once a dog pees there, they're fairly likely to go back and try and go again on the same spot. But if it was the bit right by the pavement, you'll probably have to just accept it unless you put a wall up.

PatMullins · 25/01/2017 15:44

That council/common verge is actually my land and part of my garden so yes it is irritating when your dog's piss turns it brown or you let it have a shit there.

BallroomBitch · 25/01/2017 15:47

It is obviously inside my property and way past the dividing line. What will I do when I've got something to worry about? I've plenty of 'REAL' things to worry about. Just personally think it is rude to let your dog piss inside the boundary of someone's property. When I went out a little while ago someone has left dog poo on the pavement outside my house now too. If I don't go and pick it up no doubt one of the kids will tread it into the house. Again more bad manners

One dog started to pee on my little fir tree, which is just in the border of my garden, but clearly in my garden. The owner was walking the dog the same route and it was being peed on several times every day. Then more dogs joined in.
I'm sorry, but my garden isn't a dog toilet and I'm not having my trees damaged or grass burned with the urine.
I just spraying with dog-away stuff and it seems to work.

And no I don't carry my dog around.....she is far too heavy for any of that!

She was standing there letting the dog roam about on my bit of grass for a while. She only tried to move the dog on once she spotted me watching....

How rude of her to let the dog onto your property, let alone wee there. Gross.

DotForShort · 25/01/2017 17:13

I couldn't get worked up about this. I would file it under "complete non-issue."

JanuaryMoods · 25/01/2017 17:29

It would annoy me because if she lets it piss she probably also lets it shit. That type have no manners.

Wow OP. You need a hobby. Are you also upset about the birds, cats, mice, insects, moles, foxes etc. That piss and shit on your property the year round?

kaitlinktm · 25/01/2017 17:56

This would indicate to me that she uses that patch of grass for her dog's toilet regularly. If it is a bitch, the urine will kill the grass - when we had a bitch we had no back lawn at all. Sad

SignOnTheWindow · 25/01/2017 18:03

I don't understand why the OP is getting such a hard time. If the dog was on the pavement but the dog had just happened to cock its leg on the grass, that's not a big deal.

The big deal is that the woman was using someone else's garden deliberately as a playground/toilet for her bloody dog.

This is unacceptable.

Urine kills grass, doesn't matter if it's a bitch or a dog 🙄

Just males tend to cock their legs against something

If she'd let it poo there, then you'd have found poos there in the past, wouldn't you op?

I still couldn't give a shit (see what I did thereSmile) about a bit of wee

Costacoffeeplease · 25/01/2017 18:08

Don't they always navy 🙄

BallroomBitch · 25/01/2017 18:15

I haven't changed my story. Just elaborated.

I have a hobby and 3 jobs Yorkie... and no not particularly. More bothered by the rudeness.

I'd of been bothered if the owner of said dog had squatted and pissed on your lawn...

KoalaDownUnder · 25/01/2017 21:22

If a dog is under close control it won't "veer" into gardens. Do you let your dog veer into the road?

Not usually, because there's verge between the footpath and the road.

Dogs round here don't walk in a straight line like robots, so sometimes they run a few steps across strangers' lawns, yes. .

Luckily, nobody in my neighbourhood (which is v naice) could care less.

BallroomBitch · 25/01/2017 21:22

The grass at the side of my drive is inside my property and there is a fence navy. Don't know why you are being so argumentative. The dog was on a lead

Count yourself lucky OP. My neighbours leave their dog to shit all over our back garden (shared garden).
