AIBU to be annoyed at woman letting her dog piss on my property?

I'm on a rare day at home as youngest ds is off sick. Pottering about doing some housework and as I looked out a local woman dog walking was letting her dog pee over the bit of grass to the side of my drive. It is on my property. I have a dog and certainly wouldn't let her go inside a person's property to piss or shit. She tried to pull the dog away but only after she saw me looking out. I know you can't stop an animal toileting but I think that's bloody rude. Also wondering if she regularly lets her dog do this as I'm normally at work all day!! AIBU? Angry

Yes, yabu, it's wee.

ScrumpyBetty · 25/01/2017 14:51

What about all the cats and birds and mice and rats and badgers and foxes that wee on your lawn?

BallroomBitch · 25/01/2017 14:56

It's the rudeness of the woman that bothers me. Like I said. I don't let my dog wander onto other people's property. And it is obvious it belongs to my house.

Was it on your grass or did it just aim and hit your grass ? If somebody is letting their dog walk on your property and it is peeing then that is rude the latter is just your bad luck.

KoalaDownUnder · 25/01/2017 14:57

But what did she do that was rude?

How far off the footpath had the dog veered on to your property? 6 inches and YABU and petty. 6 foot and YANBU.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 25/01/2017 15:01

How was she rude?

Shouldn't have been letting her dog on other peoples property. If a dog is under close control it won't "veer" into gardens. Do you let your dog veer into the road?

MrsJayy · 25/01/2017 15:02

You just dont let dogs walk on peoples gardens thats all midflow is hard to avoid. My dog the bugger has started aiming through the fence into next door i try and stop him his aim is impressive Shock i know its only pee but its not particularly pleasant is it.

Come on Navy

You know people won't be happy until all dogs are muzzled and a bag placed around their anus and vagina/penis so that no waste can happen on the floor.

Then they still won't be happy until dogs are banned altogether

TheMysteriousJackelope · 25/01/2017 15:06

People I see walking their dogs seem to manage to keep them out of people's gardens. They pee on the common verge or in the gutter.

I guess the people in my neighbourhood are all dog behavior savants or something.

Dogs produce a fair amount of urine, not like a bird or a mouse. It's just minging to let them pee where children may sit down to play or people may put stuff down.

Have you seen the 'angel wee' thread? Apparently it's OK to let your four year old pee up someone's fence because it's 'angel wee'. It sounds like quite a few people on this thread have a similar philosophy about dogs.

If the grass is inside what is obviously your property by a few feet then yeah, owner needs to keep her dog closer. But if it's next to the path/pavement what do you really expect her to do? It's natural for a dog to pee on grass near where it's walking.

Paddington68 · 25/01/2017 15:13

Is she taking the piss?

MrsJayy · 25/01/2017 15:13

That is why i asked tbf if it was at the end of the garden meh pee happens dogs piss at the edge of my garden all the time i cant get worked up about a stream of urine coming up the drive

yaela123 · 25/01/2017 15:16

Yes, it's a bit annoying but what's really the problem? It won't do any harm.

Your ridiculous op

Floggingmolly · 25/01/2017 15:33

Wow, so many people not having a problem with this... How are you all on beer cans and curry cartons? That's what I woke up to this morning.
Someone had evidently held an after hours party in my front garden Hmm
It starts with dogs...

Costacoffeeplease · 25/01/2017 15:34

What will you do when you've got something real to worry about?

CompanyOfCats · 25/01/2017 15:39

My dog stops to piss up anything vertical that we pass. Luckily, we live in the middle of nowhere so it never affects anybody else.

Can't imagine trying to stop him mid-flow.

You're over reacting imo and I don't believe you really are a dog owner if this annoys you (unless you're one of those people who carries their dog everywhere?).

JustSpeakSense · 25/01/2017 15:41

I didn't know dogs enjoyed beer and take away curry Hmm
