To share this weird footage of Trump's bodyguard and his fake hands?

Apparently, he has those fake hands because under his coat, his real hands are carrying a big automatic rifle.

They conceal such large weapons in this way because the public would be worried that there was and especial danger....and that they were at risk.

I wonder if this is normal or just because it's Trump? And why have an automatic rifle instead of a normal hand gun?

Libitino apparently because a big automatic rifle is less subtle than a handgun and it panics the crowd to see it. It's why there's only one guy wiht fake hands...he's the main guy.

Yup coat literally just slips off.
It is amazing to.see bodyguards drilling the response to a threat.
They move so fast. I can spot a body guard on the high street just by the way they behave now, and am always trying to find the celeb they are with. Unfortunately it is normally just really rich unknown folk round my way.

I think it's just (his) right hand which is fake... he moves the finger on his left then the hands come apart at 3.00 - 3.05mins :)

Agree the other guards are doing some odd things too.

I noticed the man, never thought it was due to an automatic weapon though. I didn't notice the woman, she looks bulked up with a bullet proof vest.
A lot of them seemed to be holding their hands differently, thought it might be to have their hand ready to pull their gun out.

I know this is shallow and totally off the point but doesn't FLoTUS have beautiful posture? and walks so nicely. I have never noticed before.

I really hate when you see people slouched and tottering on heels...like some of the Strutters from that insurance ad.

And yes...that guy is just like Father Ted with the remote control under his coat.

It's very strange. I don't really buy into the "it panics the crowd" reason for having to hide an automatic weapon anyway. Seems tenuous at best! It's the USA, guns are common, armed police with visible guns are EVERYWHERE (and even automatic weapons are not that unusual to see, airports etc.) and it's the President's bodyguard, who everyone would totally expect to be heavily armed anyway. Seems totally unnecessary to me.

Would be totally in keeping with his character that Prima Donald threw a toddler tantrum about all the gags to do with his own hands, and decreed that poor sod to carry the burden... Wink

Seriously, though, I imagine the serious responsibility falls to plain clothes security detail, discreetly blended in with the crowds etc., rather than the Don't Fuck With Me obvious lot up front.

Bit like the barely noticed Royals' protection versus the massive in-yer-face bouncers celebs hire.

Agree it looks like a fake right hand but he actually does move it at around 6.28

Imagine if he had a grenade. Because if there was a large, crowd reaction/attack, he could just fling that at them.

He moves the thumb of the fake hand down at 6.28. That is just as the walk ends.

I wonder if that it disarming the gum, maybe the thumb is the "safety" on the gun. I'm guessing the gun is physically inside that fake hand.

They aren't fake. You can clearly see him move them BOTH. Around 2.45 of the video.
