To think this was unnecessary sarcasm and nastiness from DH

Been at work all day. DH been home all day. We have an 8 month old puppy.

When I got in I asked DH if he minded me going on computer for a bit to chill out after work (it's tucked away in dining room), he said that was fine and he'd look after dog. hf hour later I go to get myself a drink and go into living room to see if DH wants one. No sign of him. Instead, tv etc is off and dog is alone destroying Sky remote.

Not a big deal but curious as to where DH has gone (especially as TV etc has been turned off, which is unusual) so I go to bottom of stairs and shout up:

"DH"?

He replies "yeah?"

I say "what you doing sweets?"

He replies "sooorrrryyyy .... "
😐

I say "eh? Just wondered what you're doing (as in are you coming back down at some point) as dog was chewing up sky remote ... "

He replies "oh no .... sorrreeeereyyy"

😡😯

So sensing the sarcasm and will to start an argument I walk away and take dog with me into dining room.

AIBU here or was the sarcasm totally unnecessary?? He said he was looking after the dog yet he'd left him alone, turned off TV etc and buggered off ... I simply asked him what he was doing.

I'm sick to death of his attitude towards me. Snapping, sarcasm, shitty attitude.

Since I've felt like I can't be arsed with him now so I've come to bed. He knows he's fucked up as he's indirectly tried to creep by ordering my favourite takeaway but I'm sick to death of being spoken to like shit. I don't need this shit and I'm becoming less and less tolerant of it as time goes on.

Why did you ask him if he 'minded' you going on the computer?

SuperManStoleMyPants · 21/01/2017 23:20

sweets puppies are gits for getting their noses and teeth into everything! They need a lot of supervision to keep them and your bag, coat, phones, wires, cds, dvd's, books, sofas, table legs, handles, doors, carpets, rugs, plants.....safe.

AnyFucker · 21/01/2017 23:22

Isn't that what puppy crates are for ?

MadHattersWineParty · 21/01/2017 23:25

OP I'm very sorry if I'm off the mark and this isn't you...but you're not the OP with a stepson and you get upset when he watches films (op always says 'movies') with your husband and they don't include you? It's just something about the computer rings a bell...

SuperManStoleMyPants · 21/01/2017 23:25

And pens. But they can't spend all day in them.

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 21/01/2017 23:27

You don't seem to get on very well. His behaviour sounds childish and he was unreasonable to leave the puppy unsupervised instead of asking you to take over. Are you actually happy in this relationship?

Sweets101 · 21/01/2017 23:28

Super having met my Dad's dog i see your point and remember now that's why i don't have one!
anyfucker presumably if they have a crate they he should have put the puppy in it.
OP he sounds tiresome. If he can't take on the joint responsibility of a puppy you certainly don't want to have DC together (if you want DC at all)

AnyFucker · 21/01/2017 23:29

Going off op's other thread, the whole relationship looks like one big waste of time

Take your puppy, op and off you go

Oh op
You have my sympathy. My stbex is the king of sniddey comments and passive aggressive communication.

He would also do the whole poor little old me can't even have a shower shit.

It's no way for grown up to communicate.

Mine Is also an exaggerator. Imho he didn't like you going on the computer (probably felt you should be doing something with him or for him) but couldn't really say that as he would look unreasonable so was just plain nasty instead

Sweets101 · 21/01/2017 23:40

Agree with stella she basically just described me Blush

SuperManStoleMyPants · 21/01/2017 23:40

DixieNormas but he said he would watch the pup. If he wanted a break from the pup he could have said or put it somewhere safe. Instead it seems he just copped off and decided to be a knob.

YouTheCat · 21/01/2017 23:44

Presumably, getting a puppy was a joint decision so he needs to step up and stop being a dickhead, especially as he's been at home all day.

OP, why put up with this shit?

stella23 · 21/01/2017 23:45

As In you are a sarky shit? Or your partner?

haveacupoftea · 21/01/2017 23:45

You're not happy, and you don't like sor respect him - just call it a day.

SanitysSake · 21/01/2017 23:45

He sounds weird, let alone anything else.

Carnabyqueen · 21/01/2017 23:47

Are you drunk OP?

Sweets101 · 21/01/2017 23:51

No stella myself unfortunately. I don't have a partner, I am a sarky shit and don't feel the need to have a partner to inflict it on.
