To be really looking forward to Trainspotting 2 (film)

The first Trainspotting film remains the only one I have ever seen at the cinema more than once - in fact I think I saw it three times with different friends.

I can't wait to see the new one.

Interesting to read interviews with the actors - who are mostly the same age as me, and of course we are all 20 years or so older.

I watched the first Trainspotting in a cinema in Durban, South Africa.

It got a standing ovation at the end (well deserved)!

So I am looking forward to the second part.

WeeM · 21/01/2017 14:07

It's one of favourite films-cannot wait for the new one! We watched the original again the other night in preparation!

OohhItsNotHoxton · 21/01/2017 14:08

Oh oh oh me too!
The trailer is so beautiful and I am far far too excited to see it. I will even be going to the the cinema alone for the first time ever.

girlelephant · 21/01/2017 14:09

Can't wait so really hope it lives up to expectations!

OohhItsNotHoxton · 21/01/2017 14:09

Wee I'm doing exactly that this afternoonSmile

WeeM · 21/01/2017 17:56

Yeah I really hope it's not crap!!

Duckiesprettycrazy · 21/01/2017 18:01

I really want to see it but I'm worried it will be like comparing myself at 18 to me now aged 43 - quite disappointing! Smile

RuggerHug · 21/01/2017 18:02

I am ridiculously excited about it! Thinking of watching the first one tonight to make sure I can still quote every line and haven't forgotten any of it.

until then blares underworld on headphones

exLtEveDallas · 21/01/2017 18:04

Me too. And it looks as if I'll have to go on my own - DH is being grumpy cinema prices.

Can't bloody wait!

HelenaWay · 21/01/2017 18:05

I can't wait to see it! Unfortunately no one wants to come with me and I don't want to go alone. Sad

KatieScarlett · 21/01/2017 18:06

DH, the man who last went to the cinema in 1989, asked me to go to see this with him.
Can't wait.

x2boys · 21/01/2017 18:30

i want to see it but whilst the first was excellent but harrowing in some ways how will the second compare are they all still on drugs?

frauleinsallybowles · 21/01/2017 18:32

me too op

MercyMyJewels · 21/01/2017 18:42

Me too but wish Peter Mullan was in it

PolaDeVeboise · 21/01/2017 19:24

SO excited. It's 'our' film and we had 'Perfect Day' as our first dance (I know, I know). Hope to god it's as good. Oh and I LOVE Jonny Lee Miller....

Titsywoo · 21/01/2017 19:28

Ooh me too. Already booked tickets for me and dh for next Friday :)

FlourishandBlotts · 21/01/2017 19:30

JustCallMeKate · 21/01/2017 19:31

So have I Titsy can't wait.

Scunnered03 · 21/01/2017 19:41

My favourite film of all time; used to live in Leith and can't wait for T2.

WeeM · 22/01/2017 22:12

It's on the telly so I'm watching it again!

topcat2014 · 19/02/2017 18:51

Finally got round to seeing it yesterday (child free).

It was ace - although more melancholic maybe, and quite a bromance going on between Renton & Sickboy.

I didn't realise first time that Sickboy was actually Simon.

We had all aged in our different ways - the cast and the audience.

Yes it's fab. Im glad I went too. Does make me feel I'm getting old though....guess we are all aging. Danny Boyle really is a great director isn't he?

RuggerHug · 19/02/2017 19:14

Saw it earlier in the week and did love it. Felt old but still. The no more catholics bit had me in stitches tooGrin

toffeepuddin · 19/02/2017 19:23

I watched it for the very first time a few days ago after my boyfriend was rather disgusted at me when I told I hadn't seen it so we cant go the cinema and see the 2nd one.
Got to say, I absolutely loved it. I hope the 2nd one, is as good. Love Robert Carlyle!

ilovesprouts · 19/02/2017 19:24

A friend of mine went to watch it tonight she said it was rubbish.
