which is lucky, really, because without this bit of windpower, the coal, nuclear, combined gas and biomass stations were all running pretty well flat out and approaching overload. It was cloudy so no significant solar generation. The Dutch supply is running at max, we seem not to be getting anything from France, I believe they have some stations in unscheduled maintenance.
We have some inefficient small gas stations on standby. Successive UK governments have spent more than 20 years without a coherent energy policy, and now we are in a hole.
