Just watched her speech on itv news . She looks exhausted and not at all like her normal glamorous self ? I hope she is ok ?? We all have bad days I guess.

I don't have an opinion on her - I haven't met her, but the bitching about her on this and every other thread about her on this forum, is tiresome.

Is it not what happens when you are in the public eye though ??? You open yourself up to criticism, concern , people talking about you ??? It is what makes them money at the end of the day being in the public eye and people will form an opinion ?? They use the press for there own benefit when it suits but the second someone makes a comment it's not allowed ???

I can't get on with it either. It would be like suddenly calling the trustafarian from little sis's stables by some elaborate title. It just feels silly applied to some largely unemployed person younger than me.

Titles applied to energetic older women who fundraise and patronise things indefatigably make some sort of sense.

People have always commented on the RF and they always will, whether anyone finds it tiresome or not.

She never uses the press for her own benefit.

She uses it fit the benefit of her charities.

They are very guarded if their privacy and understandable so.

She's no some reality celebrity hungry white - she fell in love with a member of the Royal
Family - which he did not choose to be born into.

I agree crowd. I like her and it's not me that has commented on her weight or said anything mean. I merely said she didn't look herself and looked tired .

I think her dress today is cool (Erdem - good choice!).

Her hair does look a bit silly to me though. It doesn't go with the rest of her look today. It adds up to a strange mixture of edginess and over-styled glamour model.

But, hey, I agree that it's a tough job and not one that I would ever marry into. I'm partly a republican because I feel sorry for the children of the Royal Family who will never be able to have a normal life with the ability to make choices (and private mistakes) of their own. It's not a system that would ever be adopted by a new, modern democracy starting from scratch.

Well if Harry marries his American girlfriend Kate will notice a marked dip in press attention. Will she be happy about this or will she be all 'back off lady, I was here first' (said in threatening Ray Winstone style).

And if it helps anyone rest easy, when she's just at home I think she does her own hair and dresses herself, it's just for public arrangements.😂

Well she's certainly not tired and run down from all of the work she does not do; I hear it's very tiring spending other people's money though!

Whilst she has lots of staff it doesn't mean she doesn't care for her children herself. Lots of people prefer to.

Don't apologise OP. They NEED us to look at the photos and comment trivially. Very few people hear the speeches or read what was said (which is necessarily relatively light and superficial anyway). Their JOB is to provide visuals and hopefully get good causes namechecked in the process.

Yeah coz she's sat with her feet up, smoking cigars & knocking back cans of lager. She works very hard. Whether you think she needs to or whether you think the monarchy needs to exist is another point. But you can't deny that both her and William work hard.

Too many jealous bitchy comments on here. I feel a bit sorry for her, I actually think she does an excellent job on the rare occasions I think about it.

I don't like or dislike her, because i don't know her. I don't understand how people can like her when they don't know her. They only present to us an image, we don't know the real them.

But you can still look tired when primped to perfection.

If she DID look tired today (I haven't seen the photos) I'm not sure why it's bitchy to say so lying. It's permissible to look tired. Anyone can be tired. It's not a moral failing or a faux pas.
