To eat toast in bed?

Back from the nursery drop off and straight into bed with some marmite toast and left over Christmas chocolates. Is this a judgeable offence like the whole pyjama thing or does everyone eat in bed?

My husband has always brought me a mug of tea first thing. Lovely, time to talk and makes waking up pleasant, in past couple of years he has ruined our morning time by bringing two slices of crisp, granary toast with marmite alongside the tea. Drives me bananas- crumbs that are not discovered until later that night, marmite streaks on my white linen. Grrrrrrr

We have breakfast in bed (bacon buns, usually) every Saturday here, but only permissible because the bed gets stripped and changed pretty much afterwards. Otherwise crumbs, and also ketchup.

Judydreamsofhorses · 10/01/2017 22:05

That should be straight afterwards above. Distracted.

Erm, no.

JugglingMuggle · 11/01/2017 19:36

Dreadful. Can't bear eating in bed. All the wrong angle. Crumbs, carrying it around house, way more trouble than it's worth. Don't understand breakfast in bed.

Janey50 · 11/01/2017 19:40

Perfectly acceptable OP. But.... CLEAR UP THE CRUMBS AFTERWARDS! This will entail stripping the entire bed and shaking every piece of bedlinen outside can you tell that I've done this

RedStripeIassie · 11/01/2017 19:43

Crumbs honestly haven't been an issue. Someone upthread mentioned that marmite looks like shit stains on the bed. That has happend Blush.

I think you'd have to be a bit of a slattern to eat in bed, to be honest.

AuntMatilda · 12/01/2017 14:51

I'm the biggest slattern there is but I don't like eating in bed at all. I'll take a bottle of water or a gin after a night out to bed but not food. Wrong angles, too easy to knock things over, crumbs-more hassle than It's worth !
