To think This Morning was wrong to shame this woman?

Sorry, but what business does he have to decide what someone spends their benefits on? So what if she bought a bottle of Prosecco?

He says he doesn't care about the Prosecco but it's so obvious that he does. This is a man worth £2million sitting in his ivory tower and shaming a woman for buying a £4.99 bottle of Prosecco.

Is this what this country has become? A country where we deny people any pleasure or fun because they are on benefits?

Oh and I bought a bottle of Lidl Zinfandel with my Christmas bonus, so shoot me.

expatinscotland · 07/01/2017 14:48

The Daily Heil will be all over this!

BishopBrennansArse · 07/01/2017 14:49

I bet they won't quote the bit about disabled people being too scared to do press because of demonisation though...

BBA bloody lovely isn't it! Don't think anyone here would begrudge you that

WorraLiberty · 07/01/2017 14:52

Actually that link I posted has fuck all to do with Brexit Confused

It's just a long rambling article by her, documenting how fame hungry she is and how she'll do anything to get on TV, including making up a pack of lies to appear on Judge Rinder Confused

Stupid twat that she is.

BishopBrennansArse · 07/01/2017 14:53

So far up his own arse he can admire his tonsils, Maud?

purplefizz26 · 07/01/2017 14:55

She is a wanker.

He gave a balanced interview.

Fucking dickhead "thanks to the taxpayer"

TheFairyCaravan · 07/01/2017 14:55

She home educates her kids and is a carer for her husband. All positive.

She is single. She does not have a partner. Her last partner was a lot younger than her and was not in the army. That was, way, way in the past.

If you Google this woman she is fame hungry. She gave up her teaching job to seek stardom, went topples in an internet movie now claims she can't go back to teaching. Most people with a couple of kids, or even just themselves, to support would not be so downright irresponsible.

DameXanaduBramble · 07/01/2017 14:55

Whatever anyone thinks, it's not Phillip S's place to give his opinion on any of it. He's a jumped up pipsqueak. Being on benefits must be hard enough, if a bottle of plonk makes it a bit better, have it on me.

mycatwantstokillme1 · 07/01/2017 14:55

YANBU. He doesn't know the difference between the CPS not charging a rape suspect due to insufficient evidence, and a false rape allegation. When I emailed This Morning & asked for him to correct himself on the following day's program I just got blanked. Given TM has an audience of millions and people believe the shite on it, it was very dangerous thing for him to say, perpetuating one of the myths that if the CPS didn't charge, the allegation must be false.

Sorry, didn't see this woman and what he said about it because after that I wouldn't watch him on anything again.

Am disappointed that someone funded by my taxes could afford it so easily. Benefits in my opinion should only stretch to the basics.

I doubt your personal taxes fund much at all, especially beyond what you and yours take out. And benefits don't really even cover the basics. Anyone can get themselves into debt, on or off benefits.

Owllady · 07/01/2017 14:59

Misreported. Her gifts included just for men for Phillip and Kendal mint cake for Davina. They were furious according to peg wearers weekly.

MrsMattBomer · 07/01/2017 14:59

Can everyone just report this thread please? I didn't want it to turn into a benefits bunfight (yet again) but it has!

FeralBeryl · 07/01/2017 14:59

Do you know I'm getting fucking enraged actually but at the woman now. She is being antagonistic, she is worse than the benefits Britain programmes.
The vast majority of claimants live hand to mouth, have limited disposable income and have to plan meticulously to just live or are saving the system millions by being carers on a pittance that they have to jump through hoops for.
She wants publicity for her book and has appeared in every shit show going to get it.

What she has achieved is painting claimants in a shitty self absorbed light for no real reason encouraging a load of shit Daily Mail comments to read about how shameless they are.

Shame on her.

amispartacus · 07/01/2017 15:00

If you Google this woman she is fame hungry

I bet Andy Warhol never predicted how people would want their 15 minutes of fame Grin

dontbesillyhenry · 07/01/2017 15:00

No MrsMatt, of course you didnt

TheNaze73 · 07/01/2017 15:01

OP, in response to your condescending reply to me. Can I ask how you know so much about Phillip Schofield's tax affairs?

I'm no legal eagle however, your comment feels libellous to me.

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 07/01/2017 15:01

I didn't want it to turn into a benefits bunfight (yet again) but it has!

No course you didn't - benefits never cause a bunfight do they Hmm

BishopBrennansArse · 07/01/2017 15:02

Seriously, OP? You didn't expect it to turn into a benefits bunfight?
Really? Haven't you been here very long or summink?

amispartacus · 07/01/2017 15:03

Sorry, but what business does he have to decide what someone spends their benefits on

op

Why was she on the show? What would there have been to talk about? Why do YOU think she was on the show?

MrsMattBomer · 07/01/2017 15:03

dontbesillyhenry

I didn't. If I wanted that I'd have done so - I wanted to discuss how wrong it is for a millionaire to shame someone on benefits for how they spend their money.

Anyway, as I said, I'm reporting the thread, would appreciate if others will too.

Many ppl on this thread are being very disingenuous PS and This Morning have form for this. It is no longer the same show it was when Richard and Judy were at the helm.

I dont watch it but have noticed some of these stories when they appear on my Twitter feed.

I also remember PS trying to "redeem" himself when he realized he had fucked up by handing Cameron a "list of suspects" that anyone could have Googled. Instead of redeeming himself by playing amateur detective he just made himself look even more of a fool.
