Just that Grin I'm so desperate! I have asked some of my closest friends and they have all looked at me like I'm absolutely crazy! So it looks like I'd have to go on my own.

Go! Agree with a PP, if you can then time it with Halloween horror nights, best night out I've ever had, hands down!

I'd love a solo trip damn family Grin

It takes a lot of planning to make the most of it though. Better get cracking!

PrincessConsuelaTheSecond · 30/12/2016 19:42

Also do a split stay and do a couple of days in a Universal hotel - cheaper than Disney and you get free front of the line access passes which are invaluable!

FlyingFordAnglia · 30/12/2016 19:46

YWNBU at all!!!! It's a fabulous place. Went 18 months ago and want to go again! You'll love it and the single rider queues will save you loads of time. So jealous!! Xmas Envy

Anotherbrokenheart · 30/12/2016 19:49

Yep go for it.

Have a look on the dibb website. Loads of solo uk Disney travellers there :)

TrippyMcTrapFace · 30/12/2016 19:49

YANBU.
I was 'dragged' there by a friend when we were in our late 30s. Neither of us have DC and friend was desperate to go. I wasn't keen but was ready for some sunshine either way.
I loved it. I cried at the fireworks. I do not cry easily!

TiggyCBE · 30/12/2016 19:52

I'd love to go, but as a single man I'd get tarred and feathered. I need to steal a few children...

Giselaw · 30/12/2016 19:55

I haven't been in 25 years but no way on earth would I ever go alone! Everyone is with someone. Everyone is chatting while bored in long queues. Standing around for 90% of my day playing with my phone while everyone around me is with someone would be about the loneliest feeling in the world. Shock

MiddleClassProblem · 30/12/2016 19:56

Tiggy I'm not sure stealing children will help 😂

TBH I think you'd be fine especially in a Disney tshirt

Yetanothernewyearusername · 30/12/2016 20:18

Maybe pay for fast track. Single rider queues are good too.

Universal is way better than disney- spend more time there.

My friend often goes on her own although she does live in Orlando so she can do it a lot and Disney is the reason why her and her husband moved out there in the first place.

weeblueberry · 30/12/2016 21:10

I've worked there and there are LOADS of people who go by themselves!! Dooooooo it!! Grin

Wifflewaffles · 30/12/2016 21:11

I'd love to go just me and dh again, but I know that I'd miss the dc too much. Pathetic I know. Plus, they'd probably be scarred for life that their parents cluttered off to Disney world without them.

Aftertheraincomesthesun · 30/12/2016 21:11

It's wonderful. Epcot is my favourite place on earth.

IHaveBrilloHair · 31/12/2016 11:18

I got the Epcot food and wine festival recipe book for my birthday, I also have one of the Mickey pants sundae bowls.

GandolfBold · 31/12/2016 11:27

We went for Christmas and there were loads of people on their own, including a lovely man we got chatting to at the 'frozen ever after' show (which was hilarious by the way).

alfagirl73 · 31/12/2016 11:52

Do it! Life is too short - if it's something you want to do, then go for it and above all - ENJOY IT!

I've given up waiting for other people so I can do things I want to do in life; I've missed out so many times on things because of other people and in the end I decided I wasn't waiting anymore. I'll perhaps invite someone to join me but it's on a "I'm going anyway - you're welcome to come" basis rather than "do you want to go to....?" and then they behave like I can't go because they don't want to - which really winds me up!

So if you want to go - do it! Don't worry about being on your own - one of the best holidays I ever had was on my own, when I was amused as I sat relaxing with my book listening to a couple have a 2 hour long argument over what they wanted to do! You can enjoy not answering to anyone, you can do what you want, when you want - have the whole trip on your terms! Sounds fab to me!

Enjoy it!

GeekyWombat · 31/12/2016 12:00

We went in September for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival and it was loads of fun. If you time it right you should be able to do that and enjoy Halloween stuff too...

CadleCrap · 31/12/2016 12:04

I did Universal studios on my own. It was brilliant. Good podcast while standing in the queue made the time fly. Loved it.

Princesspond · 31/12/2016 12:09

Have you joined any of the Orlando groups on FB? I follow them and recently a guy went in his own and posted what he did everyday, got lots of support from everyone. I think he might have met up with other group members that were there. It seems like a fair few people do it. It's that full on I don't think you'd feel lonely, just exhausted. Go for it!

WetNovemberDay · 31/12/2016 12:10

Go for it. Lots of single travellers there when we went. I've toyed with the idea myself (pure fantasy cos I'm skint but maybe 1 day).
The Dibb website can help with planning and what to prevent book. I love reading the trip reports when I'm feeling fed up. Lots of inspiration and ideas there.
Go for it. Life is too short.

WetNovemberDay · 31/12/2016 12:11

Pre-book not prevent!

Soubriquet · 31/12/2016 12:12

Oh oh oh oh

Pick me!! Pick me!!!

I love Disney world. Been 3 times Grin

EmmaC78 · 31/12/2016 12:16

chipsandpeas · 31/12/2016 12:35
