To think it's okay to be lazy?

I don't mean all the time but everyone is constantly busy and when they don't do something it's always "I haven't had time to...." when really you did have time but preferred to do something else/couldn't be arsed. It feels like you're not allowed a lazy day.

I could have an immaculate house by cleaning every waking hour but I've not got the inclination and would rather binge watch The Good Wife!

Is this just me or does anyone else think "lazy" isn't always an insult?

Well I did go for a walk yesterday with the DC as they bicker incessantly if they haven't burnt off some energy. However, it was a walk to a cafe so I was saved the chore of making lunch.

Well DH and I are still in bed. Sadly it's not the lust fuelled shag-fest it might once have been, we're just really tired

DS is still in bed too, watching YouTube videos on his iPad, DCat is asleep next to me as he's missed us while we've been away, and DDog1,2&3 are snoozing by the fire recovering from a week away. I may cook some breakfast soon, then I have the house to clean, laundry to do, dogs to walk etc

There's no such thing as lazy, you do what you like to do.

I think chilling out is an art that many adults have been guilted out of. Your mind grows and thinks when you're on downtime and I value it. I work pt, have 2 kids and am studying so when I have time to myself I bloody well lie on the sofa with my cat and watch telly and drink tea. My favourite times.
