Noisy sex upstairs

Dp lives in an apartment, middle floor. The young couple upstairs have taken to having sex in the middle of the night, it's happened every other day this week. Last night it was 4am, loud, bed banging on the floor, and her obviously enjoying herself A LOT. Now whilst I am happy for them and their healthy sex life, and I think they've probably heard us in the past, 4AM?? It was 2am on Boxing Day. I'm at work today and last night they kept me awake for over an hour.

I want to go up there today and politely ask them to keep it down. I don't reckon dp will go for it.

Thoughts?

Well it is his flat so he should sort it out. Personally I wouldn't be staying over and becoming sleep-deprived until he did.

I didn't go up. I calmed down about it after a few hours and some coffee, but I maintain that it is ridiculous to have sex loudly at 4am in a shared apartment block.

Off topic but it was us that set that WiFi password years ago...also for 4am shaggers...I was stunned when someone mentioned it on mumsnet years ago 😂 it did work btw!

I'd leave an anonymous note but then again I'm a coward

About a million years ago, I had an anonymous note through the door - I was living overseas, so I was especially humiliated that it was in English (partner at time also English -but English was neither first, second or third most widely spoken language in that country Blush

It respectfully drew my attention to the fact that my neighbours could hear what was "going on in (my)house at dead of night" and ensured I never had sex with the window open again.

Just because you can hear her or she's noisier than you doesn't mean she's faking Hmm but equally, if it's waking you up, I'd recommend a similar pleasant note to ensure their total humiliation - and future silence Grin
