Well, I don't think it's unreasonable to want to continue the discussion, or to bring it over here - basically was just indicating to the other discussers that I've staked out a table and set up the drinks, so come on and sit down and let's ... er... have at it again.

Oh what a surprise: I don't react to pornography with ill-informed hysteria therefore I must be a man...

hey. the thing is, i have watched it a little bit now and again in the past, i don't anymore, stumbling across pregnancy porn on the telly was a step too far for me and made me really question the whole thing in a way i hadn't before, but the thing i keep thinking is, when i'm aware dh has been watching it, usually by finding his f videos/dvds still in the player (and that is a whole other argument, hello? anyone can turn the dvd on)in twelve years time or less, would i be happy to think that some sad old wanker was watching my little girl on screen?

i don't care if she would want to do it, if she would be paid to do it, if it somehow advances feminism for her to do it (although as i read recently in some newspaper - why does female power of sexual expression look so much like a fifteen year old boy's wet dream)if men are as vulnerable to exploitation in the sex industry, whatever: i wouldn't want my gorgeous little girl to be on that screen so how can i be happy that its happening to some other mother's child?

and if that makes me reactionary, unliberal, old fashioned or ill educated, i don't care.

Wjay are you talking about? when have I eber called you a man?

Halcyon, your instincts are right. There are negative consiquenses for most people in the industry, I wish it weren't so, but the facts speak otherwise.
