AIBU to think that mn has given me the best Christmas present ever

I feel safe and secure in my home.

My abusive dh moved out a few weeks ago . Thanks to the help and support of mn over the last few years I had the strength to finally split with him for good.

Tonight he has rung me as he is very drunk and I feel liberated that I no longer live with this man and i don't have to deal with his drunken abuse ever again.

I feel scared and alone as I have to start again after a 20 year marriage but I would not have done it without the likes of anyfucker and all the other wonderful people who gave me advice here.

I had a fab day. Ex came to watch the boys open stockings / presents. He was grumpy and an arse. He went home before lunch.
I am in bed and relaxed and I don't have to pretend to be asleep whilst being verbally abused by a drunk man.

(Thank you BinRaiding . Doing our best, she just won't listen. I guess she has to learn it for herself. Just afraid it will be too late. Exactly this time last year we were sitting with her in intensive care, with her in a coma, not knowing whether or not she would survive or be severely brain-damaged).
