AIBU to think that mn has given me the best Christmas present ever

I feel safe and secure in my home.

My abusive dh moved out a few weeks ago . Thanks to the help and support of mn over the last few years I had the strength to finally split with him for good.

Tonight he has rung me as he is very drunk and I feel liberated that I no longer live with this man and i don't have to deal with his drunken abuse ever again.

I feel scared and alone as I have to start again after a 20 year marriage but I would not have done it without the likes of anyfucker and all the other wonderful people who gave me advice here.

Wonderful news OP. I have shared that wonderful feeling of relief. And the loneliness I feared didn't eventuate because I was free to join activities, see old friends etc that my ex had prevented me from doing.

The boys have put out their stockings and I am waiting until they are really asleep before I go to bed.
We can wake up to look forward to a Christmas and new year of hope and happiness .

My exH left me when youngest DD was a week old 6 years ago. MN gave me the strength to walk away from him completely after putting up with his crap for a further 2 years!

No matter how hard it gets being a single parent to 3 DC it is infinitely easier than being treated like crap by him.
